I haven't decided yet. I might go to the first pub with my real friends, then float across the harbour with them and get the train back. Depends if I fancy the night club or not - they're not my most favourite thing.

Anyway, you're not a virtual person.... If you are, you have the most amazing artificial Intelligence I've ever seen - have you passed the Turing Test yet? (sorry, geeky Computer Science thing that I learnt lots about at uni)

We've soft toys every where - and not all DDs

Most of the ones in our house are mine, although DB is getting a reasonable collection of his own since we started going to DLRP. His are mainly Mickey and Minnies though, where as mine are varied.

A lot of mine are small Beanie Babies though - I love those things.

Turing Test.

It's basically a thing where you talk to something and ask it questions either on one set topic or on anything (depends on what type of Turing Test you're doing). The idea is that the person doing the talking is trying to work out whether they're talking to a human or a computer.

There's some prize for the first person to invent a computer program which passes the Turing Test (i.e. tricks people into believing it's a real person) without being restricted to a set topic, although I don't think anybody's achieved it yet).

There's lots of programs around the internet that you can go talk to which are past attempts at passing the Turing Test. Some are quite old and therefore quite funny really, but they make a good attempt at having a conversation.

The most famous one is one called ELIZA, which is an automated therapist just google ELIZA and you should find loads of versions of ELIZA you can talk to.
