I have to admit I get really nervous about staying somehwere if it isnt 4 or 5* unless I am throughly researched!! I loove tripadvisor! Calms me a lot. I originally joined the DIS to check SL was going to be alright. Why I doubted disney I never know...I jsut get really edgy about hotels....

Think its been forced upon by my 5* only parents. Drives Jack MAD! But then he's got a lot of lush trips out of it! Lol.

I loooove going away when my folks are paying...

For me, I think it depends on where I'm going and how long I'm likely to be spending at the hotel.

If I'm not spending long in the hotel, I'll gladly stay in almost anything... If I'm spending longer in the hotel though, then I prefer somewhere a bit nicer.

I do insist on knowing about the hotel first though - I would never do one of these schemes where you book a hotel "class" e.g. a 3* somewhere in the resort. I wouldn't even do that for a 5* hotel, as I like to choose my own location, food room style etc.

I didn't doubt you - I said it would be tough, but possible if you started earlier, which you did.
