OK, a little background 1st though. We are taking my parents on this trip for their 40th wedding anniversary and they have never been to a Disney park before. How they have not gone is beyond me when their only child is Disney obsessed!! So we wanted this trip to be special. So we have booked.

Arrival day: Lunch at Walts, dinner at probably Rainforrest cafe as I think my dad would like the atmosphere

Day 2: Dinner at California Grill (followed by MNSSHP)

Day 3: Dinner at Inventions

Last day: Lunch at Lucky nugget

I wanted a mix of nice food and some character meals (can't have a proper Disney experience without a character meal!!) I'm also going to be thankful for my shareholders discount when we get the bill!!
Aweseom meal choices!!

I think mine are going to be pretty much identical except my last day will be cafe mickey lunch instead of LN. :)

Hope that makes sense!!

Thanks Ive done it on 2 pages of threads so hopefully that will help as they will be the most recent ones

Thankyou for my Boo's....

Yeah i'm not fussed about that post counts tho loool I'm sure they'll soon add up again loool

Whats everyone been up to today?

I was debating between Lucky Nugget and Cafe Mickey. Last trip we were able to swap one of our breakfasts at the New York for a character breakfast at cafe Mickey so I might see if we can do that. I haven't eaten at Luckey Nugget before so I fancied something new.

I love the lift in Walts too!!

As this embarrasing picture proves! Lol.

We always eat at California Grill when we go to DLRP and WDW, kind of a tradition really (a kind of expensive one really!!)

Overall which California Grill do you prefer? I know their styles are different, but I'm interested to know which one you like more.

So what would you guys suggest I make sure I do with my parents for their 1st disney experience? My dad wants to do BTMRR (or that runaway train thing as he called it! They have a lot to learn!!)

Let them wander down Mainstreet taking it all in and exploring

Your Dad is into trains isn't he?? Why not take them round the park on the railroad?? That might be a cool one!! More obviously is the castle, but there's plenty of time for that!

I always think mainstreet, to the castle and then into fantasyland.

But if your Dad would like to do BTM then maybe do for that? Might be a long queue is you get there in the afternoon though. I like to go to small world first myself.

I'd most like to show someone who's never been beofre Peter Pan, but it will be a big line also...

Thats a tough one as they are so different. Overall I prefer the view of the DLRP one (can't beat that view of the castle and the station) and although the food we have had at Paris has been superb the food and wine selection (maybe we have always gotten great somaliers) at WDW has maybe been better. But only just though. It is so hard to judge as they are both so different styles.

One of my best WDW memories is eating at California Grill on Christmas eve (with an expremily expensive bottle of wine that the somalier peeled the lable off and stuck it on the wine list as a souvineer for us - we don't normally do expensive wine!) then going onto the balcony to watch wishes. Oh and my friends who we were eating with paid for the wine!!

Yeah my parents are into trains so a lap of the park on the train is going to be the 1st thing we do I think.

Peter Pan was our first ride last time! Robert's hoping that the first ride this time can be Buzz Lightyear!

Hmmmmmm.... Interesting! :thumbsup2

Thats where we cut quite a bit of money off our bill in restaurants- We don't drink. It is surprisingly cheaper to eat out when alcohol is not involved...
