Ah, just had to come back when I read this... How old is your Anya? This is funny because I only liked this name for a girl (it is a name of a cafe in Macedonia, where I come from). It had to be European/international because our families come from all over the place so had to be ok for everyone.

Haven't heard that many girls called Anya in London/UK. Mind you, it was the same when Mia was born (my DD1) and now I see Mias everywhere

i read it was russian for ann which is my middle name and my nan's middle name and i wanted her to have her name some how, but my first name is russian so it all tied in.
i have heard of only one other person with a child called anya but she was unsure about it as when she told some people they pulled faces, but i think it is a georgous name she is anya jorja or sweetpea to me
