I am thinking about requesting Barbados for our late November trip. We won't need to use the main pool or food court. I was just wondering if they will most likely be finished with the refurbishment of this section by then. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

It should get a little better as you get closer. At my 10 day back at the end of Aug beginning of Sept it had an 80% chance of rain most days and it only ended up raining on us one day for about 30 minutes.

That's what I'm hoping for! We were rained out at DL in 2011. It was pretty miserable (especially with a 3 month old). The only good thing was when if finally stopped in the evening the park was E M P T Y

First time post but a long time lurker. Such great information on this CBR thread. We have stayed at CSR 3 times but after reading this thread we have decided to stay at CBR for our upcoming trip. Please add us to the Beach Bum's Roll call - staying from June 23 - June 30 2015.

I feel that if there not completely done by then they should have at least 2 buildings completed.

I know that they are refurbishing the rooms but would we able to book now for a party of 5 in a room that is done or would we have to wait until everything is completely done? We are going in Feb and were considering changing resorts but there are 5 of us.

They haven't opened up bookings for 5 yet. Nobody knows for sure when that will happen.

Martinique beach is great. Jamaica is on the wrong side of the lake to view fireworks.

Looking at a possible trip November 19-25th. Current discount is showing only preferred rooms available. I don't mind paying the extra, but I want a refurbed room and those aren't in the preferred sections yet are they? (I've never stayed at CBR before). Could I reserve the preferred room, but then request a refurbed room in Jamaica or Aruba? I realize it's only a request, but I've had good luck even if I have to request again at check-in and wait for a room that I want (at other WDW resorts I've stayed at).

Arrived yesterday with a group of 26. Lots of confusion. Some things went better than expected and some things worse.

Biggest problem was tonight. In my BIL & SIL room, they had another guest walk right into their room with their suitcases and little kids. It was 11:00pm. This other family had just arrived. They had just walked all the way from the registration desk down to Martinique. So they then had to walk back down to get it straightened out.

We are in Martinique 22. Our AC never turned off last night. It says to control it on the wall unit, but when we did, it didn't work. My kids were freezing by morning.

5 days till check-in!!!!!!! These past two months have been a bear! People know that I have been planning this for sometime now and then they want to meet up with us, but there is no money in their wallet to meet us at Disney or they can't get off of work. I had plans with a friend that just moved down to Florida and even remade a 2 person ADR to a 3 person ADR however, she starts a new job the week we are there so now those plans are changing again.

Another friend is finally catching up on her financial situation and wants to do dinner and hang out on Sunday, but I'm sorry, I got an ADR for Sunday and MNSSHP tickets already.

Do people not know how hard it is to change a Disney vacation?

If my third friend wants to change our plans, I'm over with catching up with friends that moved down to Florida. Im worth at least $99+tax. They can pay to see Me inside the park. Perhaps I'll even give them my autograph!

We are here!!! We arrived late Saturday and are in Jamaica 41. We have a Murphy bed which our son loves. So far our building has been very quiet, I hope that continues. Last night we could see fireworks right outside our door. (2nd story)

So far everything has been going very well!

I know exactly how you feel, I have multiple family members who love in Florida. They feel I should take a day away from Disney and travel to see them at their homes, um no I traveled to Florida to see Mickey, if you want to see me come to Disney!
