Thanks for posting the pictures of the new rooms - I think that for the first time I may put in a request to go to Jamaica. Have stayed in Barbados, Martinique and Trinidad South in the past. If we could be fortunate enough to get a new room my kiddos would be over the moon happy to not share a bed.

I am really excited about CBR being an option for a family of 5, we have never stayed at CBR before. I'm not clear though, which buildings will have the murphy beds and of the ones that do, which location would be the closest to the main building. Or will all buildings have some rooms with murphy beds?

Again, thanks for posting the pictures. I had initially thought that I wouldn't like the dark colors in the room but the runner on the bed, the curtains and the other pops of color help lighten it up.

I was the same! Wasn't sure at all about the new rooms but seeing all these pictures of the finished rooms I'm now hoping we get a new room in Oct!!!

Thank you for posting pics - I really like the new rooms and yes maybe a dash more colour would be nice but the wooden doors, lights and TV units make the room seem more upscale. Offsite hotels are upping their game so much with interior decor Disney need to keep up but the one area you cannot beat Disney properties is the landscape. it totally immerses you !

My daughter slept on the POR Murphy bed quite comfortably on our last trip. She was 22 years old, 5'7" and 130 pounds. She did the trundle bed several trips before that and was very happy with her new accommodations. She much preferred it to the trundle as on the trundle she could "smell the carpet"

That's good to know. I don't think we'll end up in a murphy bed room because we are only a party of four. But if we did, ds10 is just under 5ft and he could use it then. It usually ends up that dd17 and I share a bed, and dh and ds share a bed, so it would be nice to be able to switch those arrangements and share a bed with dh. But I do that most other days of the year so really ..not a big deal

When I booked my FD package I requested Jamaica. I want to add it again when I do online check in, is there a place to add this on online check in?

What if you just want queen beds but don't care which section? Is there a way to request that in online check-in? There may be more sections done besides Jamaica in late September?? Thanks!

Since they started on Jamaica in the second week in May and are just now finishing the last building in the village, I would imagine that you could request either Jamaica or Aruba to get a queen bed based on timelines.

I am loving this resort! We checked in this morning and I had mentioned a request for a refurbished room. When we checked in I was disappointed at first to find out that we didn't get Jamaica at all until I found out we were upgraded to a pirate's room! My kids are 6 and 4 and love it! Especially ds4 who thinks he's a pirate half the time!

I'm excited about the refurbed rooms. We loved CBR when we went in Sept 2013 and DH has already said he'd like to go back there. I'm happy for the bigger beds and DS would love the murphy bed and the teenager will be happy to have her own bed.

Had a great first day at Caribbean beach. The pool is awesome, resort is beautiful, and we enjoyed our dinner at Shutters. A huge storm blew through and rained out the camp fire and movie by the pool but passed in time for a late evening swim.

Thanks for taking the time to send us the pics and give us the info! Sorry about the rain but, I am glad it cleared up for you. I hope you have a great vacation!

As far as the decor... The only thing I really care about is the neighborhood. �� And since the big mouse and his big parks are next door, they could decorate in pumpkin orange, lime green, and whatever else and I wouldn't care. I'm going to Disney World!!

You can just request a refurbished room...you don't have to say which section.

Has anyone taken a toaster to make stuff like bagels and pop tarts for breakfast? Hubby and I will be driving so space is not an issue and since we're not bacon and eggs everyday people we thought we could make a quick bite and get out the door.

We bring a toaster every trip! Great time savings to have a quick breakfast and go. Mousekeeping usually unplugs our toaster when they clean our room, so we've just gotten into the habit of unplugging it ourselves before we go. Have fun!

This may be way too specific a question to ask, but any suggestions on a strategy to get an upgraded room if traveling the first week in December? Would one of the room types provide a better chance? Thanks!

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts on the pool. After much research, we are booked at CBR....Oct24-26(hoping for a refurb room), then Oct 26-30 in a pirate room with free dining This is our first family WDW trip and I'm super excited to have this resort booked let the countdown begin for the new beach bums

Bumping my question. Anyone know if murphy bed rooms are only for certain parts of the resort or will they be available throughout the resort?

I thought I read a handful of pages back that they will be putting Murphy bed rooms into all the buildings eventually, so they'll all be spread out. How many there'll be at the end is anyone's guess, though.
