We are thinking about booking preferred room and requesting building 26 but wondered where the closest bus stop is located ?

If you look at the map in post #1 you'll see that the OPR bus stop us a little closer to 26 than the Martinique stop. But both are very close.

They do have the Pomegranate Lemonade in the food court. Just tried it tonight and it was delicious!

Keeping my fingers crossed that Chandler's info is correct. I know that lots of families of 5 would love it.

Haven't been to Universal but did go to Sea World for the day. We had a car so we drove over. I have had friends take a towncar to Universal and she said that it was more cost effective than a taxi. Would you like for me to send you the link to her trip report so you can read the Universal portion of her report?

Add us to the list - we finally pulled the trigger on a Christmas trip and will be staying at CBR again (our 4th stay there, I think) from Dec 20th thru the 27th. We are SOOO excited. In addition to celebrating Christmas, we will be celebrating 2 birthday's - DD's 12th and DH's 50th. Should be a blast.

I wasn't sure at first about spending Christmas at a resort with such a tropical theme. I'd always wanted to stay at either POR or WL for Christmas. But the rooms at WL are a tight squeeze for us and Riverside doesn't have the free dining offer. So we decided to go with our old fave and the idea of a tropical Christmas has really begun to appeal to me.

We are in the middle of a resort mess for our first family trip to WDW in October We've been booked at WL for months, but are jumping ship due to the pool construction mess. The pool pics I've seen from CBR look wonderful. Do you think my DD10 and DD5 will enjoy it? My family loves to swim and DH is so mad about WL that his only request for our new resort is that it have a "cool pool"! Any help is greatly appreciated

MOdisneymom, I think your family will love the pool at CBR. It is our favorite. DD really enjoyed the kiddie pool area last time and is going to be disappointed if she can't play there on our next trip. The main pool has two slides and there are two hot tubs. The quiet pools are nicely done too. Plus you have the beaches and the island in the middle of the lake. Be sure to check out the island if you have time - there is a nice playground hidden away out there and some fun paths to explore.

Ok there are 4 DIS people there now and 4 more in the next week or so. Hopefully one of these will have gotten to stay in Jamaica. We need more pictures!!!! ....ok that sounds desperate.....but yes it is true.....we are all happily obsessed Disney fans.

We leave Thursday for CBR and have requested a newly refurbished room in Jamaica 41, 42, or 43. Only 3 in our party so we are not likely to get the much coveted Murphy bed... But I'll see what I can do for even a quick photo of a Murphy bed if a different resident is willing.

Finally, we narrowed our dates to Sept 30th-Oct7th. Our 10 yr wedding anniversary is Oct 1 and I really didn't want to be flying that day. We get in the night before

We are keeping it a secret from the kids. It will be their 6th trip (they are 8 and 9) so not an OMG moment, but it will be a shock to them the morning of!

We've stayed at ASmo 3 times and CSR 2 times, and I figure this trip we'd make a shift and stay somewhere new. CBR has been on my must do list for a while now, and with the refurb happening, I'm all over that!

We will be needing a cot, do I call and have this added to my reservation or just wait until our arrival?

Is this something that can be found at the refill station? And does it have aspartame in it? We tried something that sounds similar at Arkershus last year and my daughter loved it.

My husband called the resort phone number. (Front Desk) They told him that they are supposed to be done by Oct. They are working on some entire buildings and also rooms without people next door in other parts of the resort. She said they are not listed as Renovations since they are just changing furniture and making cosmetic changes so that is why there is no formal posting.

When in October? I'll be there the last week. Keeping fingers crossed

Hi Everyone. If we could be added to the roll call, that would be great. We are excited to be coming to CBR on August 19-26. We switched from POR because of free dining, but are really excited to try a new resort. Can't wait to see the pool area.

CBR definitely fits the bill for a "cool pool". We love it.

My family will be at CBR July 18-27. Can't wait.
