Any of the above you guys can provide would be great. Either send a PM or email me at cbrthread@gmail.com

Thanks!!!

I took lots of resort pictures and will see if I have what you are looking for. It may take me some time though as I have two weeks' worth of pictures to go through. :faint:

We will be at CBR with a group of 12 from 10/25-11/1. Can't wait to spend Halloween at Disney!:yay: I've really appreciated all the info on the CBR threads. We stayed at All Star Movies in 2011 and I was really unhappy with our room. It was dirty and the veneer was pulling off the furniture. Hoping that we can score a refurbished room in late October! Keeps those refurb updates coming, people. :)

Hello all, first post on DIS, so thought this was a great thread to review then add our dates to.

We are here Dec 14-20.

Not WDW nubes, this will be our third trip. Stayed at ASMv the first one then POR the second...were booked for the week after Thanksgiving at first, but since they did not have free dining, we stepped back down to value and had POP...this just gnawed at us as we got spoiled by moderates on the last trip, so we ran the numbers and saw that shifting to the 14-20 to get free dining and upgrade to moderate SAVED us money...so we changed (after I even had scored great ADRs, but the Disney luck stayed with me as we got almost identical ones the other day when I rebooked them...the only one that was worse was BOG moving from 7 pm until 8:15 pm, but that is still early enough).

When we were told CBR and CSR were our two choices we jumped on CBR...never stayed or even looked in on this one, but of the two, this one seemed the closest to POR in feel. And DD loves teh look of the main pool...so fingers crossed for a warm arrival or departing day.

I am excited to hear that the rooms are being refurbed, and hope to get one on our trip...will be making an ongoing list of the buildings as they are done so come our 60 day check-in I can list those as first, second, third etc choices.

We always stay in preferred rooms at the more spread out resorts (CBR, POR, Pop, CSR) it's a personal choice purely for the convenience of being close to the resort amenities and transportation. We always request Martinique (24/25/26) at CBR and have loved the location! (when the busses arrive thru the main gate Martinique is the first stop.. we've always gotten a seat going to parks & have been first off coming back :) )

I think the extra money for a preferred room is totally worth it! It is a big resort. We stayed in Martinique preferred and loved the proximity to food, drinks, the feature pool and the bus stop.

Thanks.

The money pretty much equals out if we go preferred or if we went standard + memory maker. As of right now we went preferred because of the convenience with younger children.

We check in CBR w/free dining from 8/31 -9/7, but our flight actually gets in late on 8/28...Trying to decide if we should book room only for the first 3 nights or stay off property (not my first choice)!!! Has anyone had any experience getting park tickets early recently?? I would like to stay at CBR first 3 nights and just enjoy resort but my 14 year old and hubby will be antsy to get to a themepark at least by Saturday!!!!

I tried in Dec. to check-in online and it would not let me because I did not enter a CC#. Maybe they changed it? Just curious...on-line check-in desk? she? Was that on the phone? I am confused.

I can't remember whether I checked in late December or early January. I did it on line. The 'she' I'm referring to was the lady at the check-in desk at Custom House, and yes they have both ordinary 'check in' desks and 'on line check in' desks - specifically for those who had done the 'donkey work' on line in advance.

I don't know if it's different for us as they don't ship our Magic Bands to the UK and they also don't insist on an address being filed. It may also mean that they don't insist on the CC details. The only thing I did in advance was upload DD's and My PIN number for our Magic Bands.

Thanks for the reply. I was very confused. They wanted all of my information, which they had anyway except for the CC#. I even called to see how to do it on-line without entering the number and they told me that I had to enter it or I had to check in when I arrived. It must be the difference in the way yours was done. :)

3 days of down time at the resort sounds like heaven to me. Cocktails by the pool, go out to some nice restaurants. More cocktails...
Off property - with 3 days to kill and if your family wants action there's always Universal. Am I allowed to say that?

I did online check-in in November and it did give me the option.
Also wondering, has anyone confirmed the Murphy beds yet?

I guess I just got the short end of the stick or something. :lmao: OK by me though, I like interacting with the check in people anyway. :goodvibes

one year we http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3285736&goto=newpost
urposely booked 3 nights at CBR with no tickets. I think we had a free dining reservation after that? dont' remember. I am thinking that beacuse we were able to go ahead and use the Planet Hollywood voucher during that time. (that voucher they send you with a package, which is silly cause who has the time and hunger to squeeze in yet another sit down meal?;) )

we relaxed, splept in , I think we went twice to DTD, don't know why. you could do a water park.

OR!!! as anothe poster said, why not try universal for a couple nights? yes you need alterante transportation from the airport, (a taxi was so easy and reasonable) you still ge the ME for the ride home.

you could stay at the brand new cabana bay resort (no express pass tho) or twe love royal pacific.

Yeah thanks I saw them - was hoping for an actual lived in room picture and report with details including pics of bathroom and bedspreads too. ;)
I know I have seen one or two picks from someone in the room but I can't find it. It was a white bed spread with a couple of stuffed animals on it.

We leave in 19 days and requested building 41. If we get it I'll send a report and pictures.

Bonus points for anyone who posts a picture of the Murphy bed!

We have done this 4 times with no problem. Friends of ours just did it 2 weeks ago. You can pick them up from a guest services location up to 3 days early.

Do you need to request bed rails ahead of time or can you do it at check in?
