No, the bounceback offers only went to the end of 2014. Of course, now that I've gotten back home, I've seen posts by other Disers who called anyway, spoke to a manager and were able to book into 2015. :headache:

That's the way we've usually taken it to be, too. Next time I'm going to call and tell them I want to book the same times next year and see what they can offer. ;)

This whole distance thing really is very subjective. We tend to be an athletic bunch so the walk is really less than nothing to us. If we had my mother, who has serious mobility issues, with us, CBR would not be one of our choices. Most people say it takes 5-7 minutes. I've never timed it. Here's a map that might help you decide:

Good luck! :)

Yeah the distance is the thing you see repeated over and over in reviews. We will be in Trinidad south but I can't imagine this will bother us. How often do you go back and forth from your room anyway? I figure if we're headed for the pool or food court we'll be hanging out for awhile. A half mile walk or whatever is no big deal.

I just wanted to say that you are going into the trip with the perfect attitude. We haven't stayed in a pirate room (yet) but I have made the walk over to Trinidad South many times during our stays. My walks back to Old Port Royale ranged from 6 to 8 minutes.

The only problem I've ever had with distance was a Little Mermaid room at AoA. It was a hike to the bus stop and the food court. The biggest issue is you had to walk to the food court with your refillable mugs to eat, then take the mugs back to the room, then go back to the food court area to catch a bus to the park. Either that or keep the mugs with you in the park along with all your other junk. Neither was a very fun option.

Dummy me didn't even check for a bounce back offer while there :(

do you remember if the regular coffee was medium roast or dark roast? thanks

Definitely NOT dark roast. :) I wish!! It was just regular coffee and regular decaf. I can't decide if it's the coffee, the quality, Cuisinart Pod, or the cheap creamer :rotfl::confused3

But it definitely wasn't very good. This is the actual Joffrey's website here:
http://www.joffreys.com/

What I do, and what other coffee lovers have done, is either bring (if you can) your own coffee/French press or purchase the Mickey one in the CBR resort souvenir shop. Then I bring my own Kona coffee. :) I also brought my own organic half n half.

If neither of those are options, I bought the refillable mug once and got coffee at the food court. That's Joffreys, too, but tasted better. So, my inclination is to blame the crappy filter pods! I don't know how strict WDW is on that, if you could use the coffee cups in your room for the food court coffee. :confused3

Would anyone who knows CBR well say that Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 would be about the same walking distance to the main pool and food court as Martinique 25 or 26 ?

Martinique 25 and 26 are closer. I think our walk to OPR from Martinique 26 was about 2 minutes. Having said that, the walks from Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 are about 5 minutes.

summersun: There are hammocks, benches and a play area on the island. It's a nice place to take the kids or just to relax.

Ok thank you :thumbsup2 On the map they look about the same distance. But 5 minutes is not that long. Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 does not look very far from the main pool at all.

No mobility issues here I'm 39 and 115 pounds. LoL. I do have a grandson but I sure as heck don't feel or look like grandma!

My wife just booked a preferred room for our 6 day stay. Wondering if it was worth the extra money for preferred? We have a 6 year old and a 2 year old.

We always stay in preferred rooms at the more spread out resorts (CBR, POR, Pop, CSR) it's a personal choice purely for the convenience of being close to the resort amenities and transportation. We always request Martinique (24/25/26) at CBR and have loved the location! (when the busses arrive thru the main gate Martinique is the first stop.. we've always gotten a seat going to parks & have been first off coming back :) )

I think the extra money for a preferred room is totally worth it! It is a big resort. We stayed in Martinique preferred and loved the proximity to food, drinks, the feature pool and the bus stop.
