I wish he could've gotten a shot of the Murphy frame just to get an idea for placement in the room.

If you look to the right of the pic with the smaller mattress in it, it looks like the dresser area is different than in the other pics. It looks to me like there's a green fabric bench that you can just see the edge of, rather than the big dark wood dresser.

Now I'm feeling really bad for being so cynical! I found another post on a different board by Linus & Lucy. S/he had posted on a thread that had the link to the leaked pictures. So, definitely a real person with real information - not just a troll. I'm so sorry!

I don't care if the rooms are avocado green and mustard yellow. If I can fit my family of 5 in there and have an option other than POR, I'm thrilled!

Hmmm...not sure if I'm happy with the Murphy bed. I was thinking this would be a pull down from the wall like they have at FW Cabins (my idea of a Murphy bed), but it looks like it might be something you pull out from under the bed, like they have at POR?? Unfortunately, those are really small, and I'm not even sure my 9-year old would fit on it anymore :worried:

Well, I'm really happy that this should work for families of five with smaller children :goodvibes

It's nice to know that it's a "real" person who posted. Unfortunately, the boards are full of trolls who come here just to cause problems so it's easy to assume that they aren't being truthful. Do you mind my asking if they posted pictures of their room on the other board and, if so, where they posted?

The murphy/pull out beds at POR are built into the dresser and, to me, it takes up storage space. But, for a family of five, I'm sure that they are thrilled that they have another moderate resort to choose from.

Oh, that's interesting. When we were there several years ago, they pulled out from under the bed. It was just a very short bed frame, barely off the floor, and a small mattress on top. It was okay when my youngest was 5, but wouldn't be a great choice for him now.

But yes, I agree it's great to have another choice for our families of five!!!

Yep, when they did the refurb at POR, they changed the type of murphy bed to the ones that pull down from the middle of the dresser. Our vacations range from 12 to 14 days and I am an overpacker. I need those extra drawers. :rotfl:

Hahaha. Me too! I love POR, but it is SO nice to have options!

No additional pictures have been posted on the other site. Someone said they had some but didn't know how to post them. I offered to give them my cell phone number so they can text them to me and then I will post them. Waiting to hear back.

Murphy beds pull out from walls. Trundles pull out from under other beds. POR changed to Murphy beds with the refurb. It does take up a lot of the storage space. There have been several reports of grown ups sleeping comfortably on the murphy beds. I'm not sure I could since they aren't even as big as twin beds. But, if there's a murphy bed in the room, you can book the room for a family of 5. You could then bring your own blow up mattress to use instead of the murphy bed if you so wished.

Americans seem to have a penchant for dark wood. I'd far rather have light wood - which is why we liked CBR so much in the first place! The decor is less Caribbean and more Poly, and it's just so dark. I don't like PO because of the really dark decor.

My first thought was "It looks Polyesque...I wish they would have made it a little more colorful!!!" I'm SO excited about the queen beds though!!

whats this other site, am i missing out on info? :)

What coffee brand is in the room, to make your own coffee? Is it the filtered pods? Do they have dark roast? Thought I would plan ahead in case it's to far to walk to FC for coffee in the morning.

It's Joffrey's coffee. I don't think it's a dark roast (i don't remember 100%), just a "regular" roast and decaf. I don't think there are any additional options at the FC either. Boy, my memory is not good. We were there 6 weeks ago, but it seems like 6 years ago.

thanks for taking the time to take and post the pics, the rooms look lovely and cant wait to stay here even more now!

Hmm, I have mixed feelings but overall I think I like the new decor. I associate the Caribbean with bright colors and I will miss that about the Nemo rooms, but at the same time the Nemo rooms looked kind of unpolished. To me it felt like they didn't put a whole lot of thought into the theming, just threw together a bunch of stuff that matched the color scheme. These rooms, while less bright and cheerful (boo), look more sophisticated and cohesive in theme (yay). I do agree that they look more Poly than CBR. I can tell you right now that my DDs will not be pleased simply because they don't want anything to differ from their happy memories. I edit to correct myself: the DDs like the new decor and don't even remember the old. What do I know?

Oh that's great! There was just something about sleeping that close to the floor that I didn't like :). I'll have to go check out pictures from POR and see if this will work for our family. I really hope so, as I love CBR!!! :cool1:

Thanks for the info! I wasn't aware of the change until mickeystoontown posted above. I much prefer Murphy beds - DH and I slept in the one at the FW Cabin and it was very comfy (of course, that's a double bed). So excited to have another possible option for our family!

I think the bed at CBR will be more like the Banquette bed at POR and nothing at all like the Murphy beds at FW Cabins.

I just went back and looked at the pictures that husker posted. Look at the third picture from the top. Doesn't that look like a murphy bed size mattress on one of the beds?

That looks exactly like the mattress from the murphy beds at POR. And if you look closely at the same picture, you can sort of see through the thin curtain. It appears to be a greenish cushion/bench in the far right of the pic. That sort of looks like the bench on the murphy beds when they are in the closed position at Riverside.
