I see that all the rooms in Aruba and Jamaica have been refurbished. Are all of these rooms "preferred rooms"? What's my best chance of getting a refurbished room without paying extra? I am able to do online check-in now and just wondering the best "room requests" to get queen-sized beds...
Thanks

From what I understand, Jamaica and Aruba are considered "Standard" due to their distance from the main areas and pool. I believe Martinique and Trinidad North are the only "Preferred" buildings.

I am debating a solo trip in the summer while my kid is with her father... I can do more days by staying at the Caribbean instead of like the boardwalk, but I am looking for opinions on this resort for a solo traveler. I will be spending more time at the park, but i do have one off day in my schedule.

I stayed here solo for six days in August. It was very nice. I spent half a day at the main pool and another afternoon at the pool in my section. It was relaxing to just walk around or lay in a hammock on the beach.

Bama_C, all rooms in Aruba and Jamaica have been refurbed to two queen size beds (or a king size).

Anybody knows if the Barbados section is completed yet?

Awesome! Thanks for the info. We will have 7 adults in two rooms. Queen beds will really make a difference!! :)

We have a major trip (10 days) scheduled from June 15-24 to celebrate youngest dd's 13th birthday, oldest dd's high school graduation and my dh and my 20th anniversary. Thanks to all the info on this thread, we have chosen to stay at CBR and am really excited. Thanks to everyone for the pictures and details. This is our fifth trip to WDW and our second stay at a mod. The other was CSR for a wedding.

I am currently in the planning lull that I hate. Picked out the dates and the resort but it's too early for ADR's or fastpass+ planning. :( so I am searching the boards and living vicariously through the lucky ones who have trips coming soon :)

Nine sleeps left. The extended forecast is looking fantastic for our trip. It's our first time staying at CBR any last minute tips or tricks I should know?

We are here at Caribbean Beach now had requested Jamaica but received Barbados a refurbished room with the pull out bunk, that was the main thing we wanted a refurbished room, so we are happy with that, excited to start our vacation now!!!
