I think I am going to cry We leave for a very special vacation Saturday for a week, and everyday is 80% rain!! It just can't be, there aren't any hurricanes, etc. is this normal for this time of year, I am so upset.

If it makes you feel better, the forecast for today was much worse than what actually happened. We had a full day of swimming and blue skies. It rained for about 15-20 min and now it's fine again. I hope I feel the same way in the next two days that we are in the parks.

If you don't mind sharing, how did each of you make your room requests? Phone, online check in, fax? Thanks!

My travel agent made the request for me.

Hi everyone! I posted this a few days ago but didn't see any responses. Maybe it got lost someplace... If anyone has tips about bikes/ boats, it would be appreciated! I have heard about recent rain- I checked weather and says 70-80% chance practically every day. Bummer! For those there, is it typical FL afternoon 1 hour of rain and it's done, or is it full day rainouts?? Hoping for the best! ddc4d

Hi! We just were there 2 weeks ago and bikes are still available. We rented a 2 seater for 30 minutes and road around the property twice. It was fun on our last day!

We're here! Checked in today--I had requested via phone and fax a room close to the bridge to Caribbean Cay, ideally Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51. I also asked to be in a room with a Murphy bed, if available. We are in Jamaica 46 (but it only adds 30 seconds to the walk) and we have a Murphy bed. When I asked at check-in if the room has a Murphy bed, the cast member said "Oh, yes. We received your fax and had one available for you. " I love it here! Every resort cast member had been amazing. Also, Jamaica was the first drop-off on the return bus ride tonight .

I previously called and requested to be in the Jamaica village.

Juste made my online check-in... I picked Jamaica village and Aruba Village at first, but then I looked at the pictures and realized I hated the aruba section (can't stand that shade of pink), so I tried to switch it for barbados... Now, I got 3 selected AND Aruba is coming first *sigh*

Do I still have a chance to get Jamaica/Barbados section or will they discard it completely?

Should I call them to get it fixed? Thanks in advance!!



EDIT: I called to get it fixed. The lady on the phone said that I now have Jamaica and Barbados on my file. Yay!!!!

You also have to take into account how a forecast is actually calculated. 80% doesn't mean that it's going to rain 80% of the time; there is an 80% chance that it will rain. That could mean Noah's flood or 15 mins of sprinkles.

Go to www. noaa. gov and they have a forecast tool that says when it's going to rain & how much.

Considering calling to also request a Murphy bed in addition to Jamaica..would this be likely or are they already saving them for families of 5? Also would this hurt my chances of getting Jamaica? I know Aruba has them too, but I think Jamaica is so much prettier than Aruba! Only 7 days left!!!

Families of 5 can't book CBR yet, so no they are not saving them. I don't think it would hurt your chances of Jamaica. I would just list Jamaica first then the Murphy Bed as the room assigner looks at requests in order.
