The NEW AP Rate Watch Thread, Are they out yet??

We would love to use the $139 rate at WL or AKL but it is only good until 7/3/03. We need a room for 8/29 and 8/30/03. Same with the Swan/Dolphin on Hotwire- no rooms at $81 for those dates. We are doing the Marriott DD for our first 6 nights since we could not pass up the $20.03 price. We have never stayed off site before (only when I was 7 and I did not choose) but WDW is just not offering the discounts for our time frame. We are even considering Portifino Bay, Hard Rock or Royal Pacific Resort at US/IOA and doing their parks for our last 2 days instead of Disney since their rooms are $149, $137 and $114 on Hotwire right now for our dates!

Do you guys think this rate (139) is a good deal?
That is a great rate for the WL. It is more than 40% off the rack rate. I'd be extremely happy with that rate if I were you and I doubt that an AP discount will be much larger. All this talk of discounts and codes and everyone waiting for a bigger discount can make us lose sight of the truely incredible deals that are out there. $139 for the WL is one of those deals.

We are hoping to pick up a night at the GF at the end of our May trip. The best available code discount is 26% off rack. If I could get the GF for 40% off I'd be doing cartwheels. I REALLY need an AP discount ;).

That's too bad :(. Did you try all the currently available codes? If not, check Mousesavers.com. There is another code that results in the $139 rate (if available), and two codes that might get you $149 (if available). If all else fails, keep calling back as a code rate might open up. Good luck.

I thought 139 was a great rate too, but like I said my head is spinning with all of this rate talk:-) Now~~~DH says he would really rather stay at GF and the best I can find is 240. Honestly I think he is nuts; we aren't going to be spending that much time in the room. I've never stayed at WL but everything I read leads me to believe it is quite nice. Transportation was a question mark for me, but again the boards seem quite positive. When DD and I were at POFQ last month we waited for a bus outside of WL and it looked like the GC in Anaheim. I really like the GC! I guess it is because I grew up in SoCal but DL just seems more manageable. Maybe it has something to do with the fact it is so small:-) Oh well! Personally I think a big part of vacation fun is in the planning.
Regards,
Janice

As far as I know the codes that do not require a PIN# are as follows:

AEP
AFQ
AEF
AEA
AXA
AXB

I hope one of these can help you.

I am getting crazy waiting for the AP codes for this July. I need them!!!!!!!!

How can I add the countdown clock?

I agree about the WL. We stayed at the GC in 2000 and WL is amazingly similar. We fell in love with the GC, those doors in the entry way were just gorgeous! I believe whoever designed one had an hand in the other. I think the GC is a bit more "upscale" though. The rooms are more expensively decorated and a bit larger. Still, if you liked the GC, you'll like WL.

On the subjects of rates....I believe the $200 WL courtyard rate is a code rate and isn't the $139 a standard view? Those are both good rates, but not as good as what was offered last Christmas season. We got a courtyard view for $137 AP rate, pre-tax, 2 people for 12/19 - 01/03. I want to see THOSE rates again!:D

I called about 5:30 p.m. est on 4/15/03 and was told once again no AP rates! I got a really nice CM she said keep trying. And she also suggested we all keep e-mailing Disney. Maybe some one would get off their bottoms and get some rates out.

I know this was in this thread or another one... but does anyone have the email address for Disney?

At this point I'm willing to try anything!!!!

I didn't realize Disney was REQUIRED to give AP rates. Interesting.

LOL...I thought it was just me...I have been to WDW like 20 times before I discovered AP rates. Am I still gonna go? Of course, and Disney knows that I still am - along with everyone else who goes on a yearly basis!

I know of a place that has Deluxe accomodations at an affordable rate, it's called *off-site*...

How did you get this rate? Does that include tax? The best I can find for the night we want in May is 284 plus tax.
