just another quick question. my aunt will be coming with us to por in the next few weeks. she is handicapped and will be using an ecv. i know people can go to dtd on the boat from riverside using a wheelchair. are the boats able to accommodate an ecv too?

This may have already been answered, but I didn't feel like wading through all 56 pages. Can kids go into River Roost Lounge to listen to the piano or do they have to stand outside?

In all of my times staying there I never paid that close attention and this is the first time that we will have kids travelling with us. Thanks!

We have a 13 yo and an almost 11 yo and had a table right by the piano for the show. The kids loved it! Especially dd--it was one of the highlights of her trip! Bob will call the kids up several times to help him with the show. There's an intermission at 10:00, and we (plus most/all families with kids) left at that time. I'm not sure if the second half of the show is geared more for adults or not, but the first half of the show was kid friendly for sure!

Bob Jackson is a talented performer. If you have a chance to see him, please do! Service at the River Roost was very good, too. Dh and I had a few drinks while at our table and the server was attentive and prompt.

I still have to download pictures and will post a show one once my pix are on Photobucket.

Thank you for your responses! As always, very helpful. Now I just need help hurrying up the next 13 days!

We'll be at Port Orleans Riverside in less than a week - yaaay! :cool1:

We thought we'd grab a quick bite to eat (counter service) at the food court for our noon meal. Anyone out there a celiac who has eaten there in the recent past? Any recommendations for gluten-free food for lunch? I know that I can talk to a manager when I get there, but I'd like to know what I'm looking forward to.

What about breakfast? What kind of foods were you able to eat?

Thanks!

I'm not too familiar with gluten-free diets, but I loved the create-your-own salad station at Riverside Mill.

I finally downloaded our photos from our 8/10 to 8/20 trip. Here are some misc. pictures I took at Port Orleans. We were in Parterre Place this time so most of my photos center around that area.

Thanks for posting the pics. Can't wait to be there on Oct 31!

Has anyone rented a kayak at the POR marina?
Are they one-person or two person kayaks?

More questions. :confused3
Are all of the seats in the lounge filled up when Bob Jackson starts his show at 8:30pm? If so, how early would you suggest? Are Fri. & Sat. busier then Wed. & Thur.?

The lounge does fill up fast.
Weekends are usually pretty busy, so the Wednesday and Thursday show I have found it easier to get good seating.
Bob does a good job of including you even if you aren't up close.

I am interested in this too. Does anyone know what nights he will be there? Also, what is it like in the River Roost and what do they serve?
