My wife and I will be traveling on our first Disney cruise in January.

Not having any status, I was only able to get the Champagne tasting and Prima Notte at Palo. However, they are both on embarkation day.

Those experienced, is this a bad idea to have both tastings on the same day if I can't adjust? I believe these two are only offered the 1st day of the cruise.

For me champagne is champagne. Haven’t done it. I’d probably pick just one event. I have done prima notte twice. I like the time matches up opposite of your dining room time. Very enjoyable & will receive a Palo pin at that one! (Side note: if a Palo fan, the first night dinner doesn’t count toward the only one experience during cruise tally).

Prima Notte is only offered the first night (on any cruise)-in Italian it literally means "first night." Champagne tastings are not exclusively offered on the first night; however, on shorter sailings they might only be offered one day.

Doing both in one evening could be a lot. Only you know what you're up for, but I could see that being too much for some (and if you do the champagne first, you might end up getting too full to enjoy the food at Prima Notte!

We have done both. I love both. I would pick one. For us, one event a day is enough, since there is so much else to do. Prima Notte is lovely, will give you a great way to begin your cruise. Champagne tastings are usually more than once per cruise, but It could depend on the cruise and its length. I love the champagne tasting and the Stem to Stern wine tasting.
