Anybody remember these???? :goodvibes I thought that since a few former regular members have been returning from hibernation, that this would be a good way to catch up with each other...after all, the infamous USChats used to be a regular occurance on here. :)

So, like every other time, I'll start off. :P

I got my first job this summer...in fact I'm getting up in 3 hours to travel down to Boca Grande to take photos for it. I'm in charge of designing and maintaining the website for a real estate company...I'm really excited. :) On top of that, I'm a Senior in HS now, and next summer I hope to move to Orlando! So much is going on now!! :)

Okay...now it's YOUR turn. Everybody: you know the drill! :teeth:

You get up early, Clare! Good luck with your job. Dad isn't going to help at all? Haven't seen Jiffy on here in quite some time?

I don't get up early by choice. :) I take advantage of the days I can sleep in.....believe me! LOL.

Yeah, my mom has been mostly lurking lately.

Hi Claire,
When you say you hope to move to Orlando next summer,do you mean you want to get a job at Universal??

Potentially...but if I worked at Universal, it would be probably waitressing in CityWalk...need to roll in as much dough as possible to afford the costs and expenses. I'm hoping to attend Valencia Community College, and potentially UCF afterward. The job I just got hired for is a job that I can do whereever I have my computer/internet access, so I can take it with me to Orlando. :)

Hi Everyone! I have been busy with my new job - I work in third grade at my children's school, but now it is summer so I have lots of internet time!!

We have a November trip planned with the kids, hubby and I went by ourselves in April, so we had to make it up to them :cool1: . We will be at the Hard Rock Nov. 9 - 13. Right now we are in a deluxe, but I am going to keep calling to try to get that suite upgrade.

I was a bit disappointed in our last trip. We stayed at the RPR in a King Suite. It was very nice, but I always miss the Hard Rock when we don't stay there! Also, It was so crowded!! There were school groups everywhere, band members I guess. I took us 45 minutes to get through the gate at opening! Also we noticed a lot of kids cutting into the express line because they were not checking cards at the end of the line, only at the beginning. It was absolutely horrible on the Mummy, and I let the ride attendant know that they should be checking for hotel keys, or express pass. It was not just teens either, adults would be sneaking in the line, and the kids would be saying "but, mommy, we don't have an express pass.." and the mothers would just tell them to shush. :sad2:

I really hope it won't be like that in November. We have been during that time before and the parks were almost empty, even though it was holiday weekend. We love Universal, it is like our home! We like Disney and will go every couple years or so, but Universal is our favorite destination.

Also, I missed chatting with everyone here. MotherFletcher always cracks me up, and of course I missed Claire's boy talk :) SpideyHulk and Prince Eric were always so fun and AlexandNessa is like my long lost sister!(if I had one :rotfl: )

Congrats Claire. I love to see people working for what they want and doing work they enjoy. We just came back from a family trip to Kansas City of all places, visiting friends that moved. We had a good time except for the airline, we will never fly United again. Ughh, started our trip off 7 hours behind, but all wound up okay. We are hoping to return to Florida next year, but don't know if it will be disney or Universal. I love them both and can't decide.

TigerLilly's Mom: You'll be around USO on my birthday! The past 2 years I've spent 4 days at Universal for my birthday (November 11)...and it's pretty nice...not too bad in the way of crowds. :)

Thanks Prince Eric! Oh, and by the way...I LOVED New York...you may have me following you home after your next trip to FL!! :p :p :p

I just hope that we don't talk about what can kids do for Universal on this thread. I know no one asks about it, but I think we can be more creative. Okay, Motherfletcher may act juvenile, though.

**bump**

Sorry...been gone for a bit...my friend celebrated her 22nd birtday this past weekend. :)

Has anybody seen the new animatronic Donkey? I make sure to try to see it every trip...the thing is awesome.

What donkey? Is it the donkey from shrek I take it? Where is it and what's it do?

Just wanted to give this a bump up. I miss talking to you all. Well actually reading, I was more a lurker over here, getting educated by you all.Claire, I'm also curious about this donkey you are talking about .
Also while it's on my mind, what ever came from the area next to Curious George? Two cmas' ago we were there, and up on the hill they were starting to build something.
Although I frequent the Disney boards more often, since we are such huge Disney fans, but we still love our Universal trips. It's like Apples and Oranges, when people ask which they should go to. I feel Disney holds a little more "magic" and I wish Universal added fireworks and parades. However we do enjoy ourselves at US still. We love the feeling of the RPR resort, and how special they make you feel.
Okay starting to ramble, I'll end, just wanted to say hi.

The donkey is opposite from the Shrek gift shop exit. I watched the donkey for 15 minutes and he was so funny!

Hi guys!!! My last post was deleted due to the homster.

Hey everybody!! I haven't been here in a bit. :) Started my Senior year...whoop whoop! Actually, I'm busy trying to create a demo tape for a possible internship at a local TV station..but I don't know where to begin  Some of my most recent exciting news is that I found one of my old friends...she moved to GA the same time I moved to the West Coast of FL: in the middle of our 4th grade year...we never had contact info on each other, and I just recently found her online...after just shy of 8 years!!! Still in shock... :)
