This is what I wrote for NaNoWriMo. It's probably not very good becasue I wrote it in like 3 days.

It was then that Ash’s fear really set in as he fully realized the extent of his predicament. It was a life-or-death situation and unless someone helped him soon, it might mean the end."

Not using the normal boring words really makes it sound like it's from a real published book! That part is really good.
