The new 600 loop opened today! Looks great!

The 600 loop is now open. Just yesterday they were finishing up withtye landscaping...and today ths new 600 loop is open. Looks great! There are about 20 new sites backing right up to the lake. The sites are spacious and beautiful! We are still at the Fort right now...and wish my camera didn't die or I'd post pictures.

TCD is at the Fort.

Arrived yesterday, and I already have some amazing news to report.

First, on the 600 loop.

As reported it is open, and campers started arriving yesterday.

But, not just any campers, there are VIP's staying on this loop!

I already posted some pool photos up on the Something is Happening Near the Pool thread up top on the board. Check out those photos for some amazing pool news.

The electric boxes look to be the same as on other loops. But, no concrete stumps on this new part of the loop:

The stainless steel basins around the sewer connections are bigger (woo-hoo!):

Now, about the VIP's:

In the early afternoon, right after a little rain storm passed through, several large tour bus type vehicles showed up.

They all set up nest to each other.

The buses looked like they were being driven by professional drivers.

A little while later, some white Disney vans showed up, and dropped of folks at these buses.

The group seemed to be a few adults, and a lot of teens.

Of course, we went by several times for a closer look.

It turns out that the cast of the Disney Channel Show, Hannah Montana, is here at WDW to shoot some type of promo for the new Hannah Montana movie, which is coming out on in the next week or two.

My kids got to meet Miley Cyrus, Mitchell Musso, Jason Earlres, and a bunch of the other cast members!

I think they also might have been taping something to promote RV-ing or Fort Wilderness, because there was a film crew there yesterday, too.

Afraid our kids missed all of the action yesterday. Came to the fort w/ out them this time. They are going to be Mad!!!!! First no Disney games and now this!!! Stop by and say Hi TCD...... in 301!

We arrived on Tuesday and were one of the first in the 600 loop (601 to be exact). Great loop and so nice being next to the Meadows, campfire, pond, bike barn, bus stop, pool, etc. etc. I never saw a Hannah Montana bus. This must be an April Fool's thing However on Wednesday there were lots of limousines running through the fort. Anyone know what that was all about????

Awesome pics! Thanks so much for taking your vacation time to spy for those of us left behind. You guys are almost as nosy as I am and I love it! TCD - Are you sure we're not related?

I showed DD8 the tour bus pics and she recognized it immediately without me even saying anything. I'm not sure if you are the trouble maker or I am for showing her but DH is not happy with the response that followed her scream "We gotta go there right now! How long will it take to get there tonight?"

hmmmmm, DH won't go but the tent's all ready, van is clean, 15 mins to drag DD19 off her laptop, throw a few clothes/bathing suits in bags - maybe if I started driving now we could be there after breakfast. You know, it's silly but I'm actually considering it - off to call and see if there are any last minute sites left...

Edited to add - Called wdw - there's no sites left for this weekend. I am now officially jealous of everyone who had the presense of mind to plan ahead...
oh, and I knew the bus pics were from last week for april fools. I don't have to tell them that right now though do I? After all, it does sound like a great excuse to go while the kids are out of school this week, right?
