No, nobody wants to see me in a bathing suit. It's become quite clear to me just how ugly I am (I'm not exaggerating). And no, I don't have it in me to be a princess.

Here's one I took yesterday; this is the hibiscus in our backyard:

We have some lilies coming out, too, and I'm going to try those...then I need to find something other than flowers and statues!

Today is the maternal unit's birthday. We're not doing anything special until tonight; we're going out to dinner with Louise. Having spent so much money on concerts and plays lately, I only got Julie Andrews' book for her as a present. Last night, though, we ordered tickets to see Sweeney Todd on stage at the Bushnell - I had a code for 20% off.

I don't know that I've ever had my picture taken with just me in front of the giant plate. Man, I sure missed that thing. It was good to see it again. There is a picture of me in front of it in my tr, that much I know.

I had to take a dumb ol standardized test this morning. At 7am, mind you. YUCK. It was an additional test for my teaching certificate since I'm going to be teaching in Kentucky instead of Ohio. I think it went fine, but it was a pain in the butt.

The giant plate is calling my name. Hope everyone's having a lovely Saturday.
