What's wrong with this picture? My mother is downstairs, begging the dog to leave her alone to watch her soap until it's over at 8...then she'll take her for a ride in the car-car.

Mass chaos has ensued in the city of Louisville. Sunday was crazy. Extremely high winds, power out everywhere. I literally thought I was going to blow away when I walked outside. I've never seen anything like it. Internet is finally back, power just came back here but they're saying 10 to 12 days until power is back to everyone in this area.

Didn't have school yesterday or today. The superintendent of my school district is saying possibly no school the rest of the week. None of the schools have power and too many roads are still impassable due to fallen trees. Most traffic lights are also still out, which makes driving interesting.

Grocery stores are a mess, all picked over and 20 minute lines just to check out. A lot of places are also running out of water because the purification plants have no power. They're starting to shut water off in some areas. I was one of the lucky ones, since I only lost power for 1 day. Most will be without power a lot longer than that.

That's all I've got for now. I'm going to try to find gas, which is not an easy thing to do around here. Check back with y'all later, keep your fingers crossed that we get to go back to school tomorrow!!!!

Did you know that Kar & her DH also were married on 25 ROctober? Yep, only some years before Chris & I.

Um, should I mention that my 10th wedding anniversary would have been on October 17th? It's a good month for weddings!

No Halloween parties planned for me, but one of these years I'll get my red hooded cape so if I get invited to one, I can be Little Dead Riding Hood.

It is dragging, I'll agree with that.

You know what makes me stop and think, though...we complain about how the weeks drag. Then, one day we suddenly realize that time is flying. I can't believe summer is over already and I'm wracking my mind trying to think of what to get for my coworkers for Christmas. I've already bought one Christmas gift for my mother, too.
