The name Whitley

Definitely a girl's name. I only know it from the Cosby show spinoff.

What do you think of it. Do you consider it to be a girl or boy name?

I have a friend that going to have a baby and name it Whitley either way. I have never heard of that as a first name before but I really like it.

My immediate reaction is "Girl Name." I think it's one of those "gender neutral" names (like Whitney, Lindsay, Mackenzie) that has been pushed by usage far enough into the "girl" category that I wouldn't give it to a boy.
