its saturday nite...its cold here in central PA....DD is chowing on KFC and watching Wife Swap reruns, i am sitting here with very little on my mind....it is a state i have grown used to over the years. i am looking around me and realize that i have no small amount of cash tied up in "stuff"

1. our desktop is a Dell
2. our laptops are both gateway (love em)
3. our TV is a panasonic 50 inch plasma
4. our digital cameras are 2 kodak easyshares and a nikon cool pix
5. our main car is a jeep commander (its a boat but it is cool)
6. our premium channel of choice is cinemax
7. we get about 9 million channels (watch about 8 of them)
8. our dog is an idiot but he knows and is making the best of it.
9. we spend about 5 grand a year going to WDW. take that times 19 trips.....oh well.

I had written a relatively long post about the stuff around me and then changed my mind. The most valuable thing in this house is the little, totally exhausting, baby sleeping upstairs from me. I never thought I'd be able to have a child and yet through the miracle of modern medicine and the love of my wife, we have the best experience in our life.

And now..I'm going to have another glass of wine and some chocolate cake to recover from chasing a newly crawling baby around by myself all day.

Stuff! (also gathered through middle age)

Too many shelves of books.
Magazines waiting to be read.
More pieces of clothing and shoes than I can wear in a year.
A shared Sony laptop.
Toyota Corrolla (old enough that the brakes work) paid in full.
Two bicycles that get used six months out of the year.
Tracfone (Do not spend enough time on the phone to justify the monthly cost of iphone or something similar)
Basic cable TV so we can get good reception of ten channels, watch half of them.

And a job that earns me enough to pay the bills, buy some stuff, take a vacation, and save money for near-future fun and later life ease (I hope!).

Heh. thanks. The cats are certainly still important and I'm never without one animal following me around or curled up next to me.

At the moment:
*Bella (the dog) is curled up on her own leather chair watching short track speed skating with me (Tivoed from last night),
*Merryl (little black cat with no teeth) is sitting in the garden trying to catch lizards)
*Cali (little calico cat) is sitting on the fence between us and the neighbors, *Rollie (14lb big black cat) is hanging out on the cat condo's waiting for something interesting to happen and
*Cat (see avatar) is behind my head, sleeping on a Disney blanket.

Baby Lillian, after a bit of a fight, is finally down for her morning nap. I'm about to start digging through my summer clothes to get started pre-packing for our Disney vacation next month. I'm not sure though, maybe I should pack a parka!
