yesterday i participated in the drubbing of a fellow dis-er whos husband had taken it upon himself to take the life of a cat that was no longer wanted. we brought her down with much glee and slapped each other on the back many times during her undoing. I am sure others like myself went away very self satisfied and feeling like we had made a difference. i am such an animal lover that i wont watch movies over again where a dog gets killed.i.e. old yeller, I am legend, etc. Later last evening i thought back on the days frolic and realized the smugness of it all. Different people are brought up with different values and habits that they have no more control over than we do ours. Why they dont even eat peanut butter in Europe for gods sake. To top it all off last week i went to see the movie 2012 where 95% of the humans on earth were killed off and i did not bat an eye, the dog however survived and i was grateful for that. I was wrong condemning her, not because what happened was right but because it happened long ago and far away and sitting here i have no way of knowing what went down. the judgement was "guilty until you get tired of hearing it and turn your computer off, so there, take that". its an old saying but unless she shipped me her pumps and let me trudge a mile in them......well............ sorry Ginna 77........so now i go back to work.
