THE MURPHYS are LIVE from WDW - SPRING BREAK 2012 (PICTURES ADDED!)

Good morning everyone!! :)

I just woke up and everyone else is still asleep. ;)

Hoping to head over to the YC soon, I'm excited to get back there!

The pirate beds weren't terrible last night, they do seem a bit more firm and a few times in the night my arm did touch the edge of the "ship" but no major issue. We were so tired after dtd I could have slept anywhere.

Several bus loads of teenage girls came in last night, I'm assuming those are the cheerleaders I've read about. They seem to mostly be in Martinique and Jamaica. I haven't seen any here in Trinidad. We are in building 38 on the backside by the water.

Hoping to head to Epcot later today. More updates later! If anyone has questions feel free to ask. :)

The "golden lady" statue was in pleasure island near the adventurers club. Later that night we saw a "red man" with a guitar , both were very cool.

Lots more street performers then I've ever seen before as well.

A lot of work going on at YC

Beautiful day :)
We walked around the world showcase, had a few snacks, now at innoventions watching the kids make their own video game :)

Just came back to our room to a surprise! DS had a balloon from last night that wasnt floating anymore, so they surprised him with three new balloons!!!

He's one happy boy! :)

Love your trip reports! :cool1: Is your YC GV CL room overlooking the wedding gazebo or a different part of the resort? Also, any construction noise up there?
TIA!

Luckily we are on the front side of the resort , I can't imagine what it's like on the back side, just walking thru the entrance earlier today the drilling was deafening. I wouldn't want to be dealing with all that. We have zero sounds on our balcony.

Well our first full day was a success! :) We took a taxi from CBR to YC this morning, check-in upstairs was smooth, we headed over to Epcot, strolled around the World Showcase, did a couple of rides, had lunch at Yorkshire Fish and Chips, then our room was ready. :thumbsup2 We went to the pool around 3:30 and had no trouble finding seats. Then tonight we went to the lounge around 6:00 and nobody was in there. I'm wondering if maybe they didn't book those rooms on the construction end of the hallway?? Or maybe we just happened to be here at a really dead time. I'm not sure which. After snacking we went to the Boardwalk... the kids won some prizes doing games, we hit the arcade at ESPN and ate there, then ice cream at Seaside Sweets. Espresso chip for me :goodvibes We watched Illuminations from the bridge, then caught the end of Tangled on the beach. DH and older DS went to the Swan for sushi and karaoke while younger DS and I went to the lounge for cupcakes and back to the room. A very fun day! :lovestruc

Oh, also we had a slow running drain in our shower and the a/c wasn't really working well. So we reported it before dinner and by the time we got back tonight both were fixed and working perfectly. :cloud9:

I've got digital camera pics so I'll upload those soon. :goodvibes

Sounds like you are all having a great time!!! Looking forward to seeing pictures and hearing more about your trip!

Glad things are running smoothly. Looking forward to more pictures. I forgot to ask before how was Fulton's?

Fulton's was great! All four of us had lobster, then for sides we had the 7 cheese macaroni, the butternut squash risotto, and the kids had fries. Everything was great except we sent the risotto back, it was terrible. Nothing like risotto, more like a solid clump of rice. We went to the AMC dine & view later that night for the 10:00 showing of The Hunger Games where we had dessert. It was really cool, I had only been to one dining theater before, up in Chicago, and this one here was super nice and clean. I had a chocolate cake it was delicious, the kids had milkshakes and popcorn. They thought it was neat to order food from our seats. ;)

Your trip sounds very relaxing. I love Espresso Chip ice cream from Seashore Sweets too. It's the best.

Pretty crowded at the studios today. RnR and TSM both 80 minutes at 10:00 am. We did TSM first, now in line for the great movie ride. :)

Full house for the great movie ride
On our first family trip (first full week of Jan '09) that room freaked out my DS3, since it was so dark and empty. We tried to calm him down with the mary Poppins carousel horse there, but no dice.. he wouldn't let us ride.
Enjoying your trip, and counting down to ours

LOVE seeing your pics from inside the attractions! It's like I'm right there with you. Almost. :lmao:

YC looks awesome as usual. BC has always been our #1 resort. I hope you have a wonderful time!! :lovestruc Keep the pictures coming!
