I am just catching up after the weekend and I can't even believe what is going on!!!!!!!!! I am glad you finally got a room (with a better view) and that they gave you the fireworks cruise (a nice touch) but this mousekeeping thing is getting RIDICULOUS!! Like someone else posted, all our YC CL stays had turndown happening at 5pm or something crazy early. I really, REALLY hope that everything else goes well for the rest of your trip!

I know, its crazy. My husband is so far past angry about the housekeeping I thought his head was going to explode last night when we got back.

But so fun to read along and enjoy other folks vacations until our turn!

That's just not right about turndown service. I would definitely make a complaint before leaving the resort.

Erika, I read on another board that there is an English Royal family staying at the YC CL at the present time. They are travelling with security as well as a nanny or two. Perhaps this is what caused all your confusion with checking into the correct room you had reserved. By the way, my DD's just got back last night from a school trip and were there at HS the same morning you were. I have searched your all your photos from that day looking to perhaps see them but no luck. I will search for you guys in their photos. Enjoy your vacation!

That explains all the well dressed castmembers I saw yesterday in the hall right outside our room as well as down near the lounge. Around 5:30 PM I saw about 6 CM's in suits and I joked to my DH they were coming for us!! LOL Some of their party must be in the room next to us.

Just tuning in!!! Love live reports(this is my first). Glad your room finally worked out, but mouse keeping Its just not ok royal family or not. I'm sorry but my money is the same color green as theirs. You should get what you pay for. I'm sure they are getting what they paid for.

Love the pics!!!! How is the lounge itself and the offerings at breakfast? I can't wait!!!!!!

My daughter gets out June 25th too, and we go back the Wednesday b4 Labor Day. But I'm that "mom" she is missing the 1st 3 days we will be at YC woo hoo!

YUM! The calamari appetizer looks fantastic. We had that back in 2009 and it came with the peppers but not the other sauces. Pesto? What is the other one?

Very crowded yes, but seems fairly typical for summer vacationers.

As we've been sitting here we've watched the wait time for Pirates of the Caribbean go from 15 to 25 to 45 minutes. Crowds are picking up for sure.

My son just saw your pictures from the pirates adventure and can't stop talking about it. That is all he wants to do in August now. He is 5. Do you think it is appropriate for a 5 year old?

There are some moments of peril and simulated attack. Snake attack, blow darts, etc. if he is mature for his age he might like it, but he would need help from you to follow the map and complete the quests.
