Good morning all!!

I am the first one awake so I'm sitting here in the dark waiting on the rest of the fam

Today we check out of VWL and switch over to Kidani. I am ready to go!! Been looking forward to this new resort for quite a while.

Sorry I still haven't uploaded my pics, we didn't really unpack since we are only here one night. But I have lots of good ones to share.

Allergy update: I have to say I was super impressed last night when we stopped to have dinner at Pecos Bills.... The manager came out and took my son's order and it was very smooth and easy. Disney is so well equipped to handle food allergies it blows my mind. I met a man yesterday who's wife has celiac disease as well and he told us we are in for a treat tonight at 50's Prime Time. He said they offer gluten free fried chicken made with rice flour. Wow!!!

Ok, so I guess that's all for now! Let our first full day of vacation begin! Next stop Kidani Village and tonight EMH at the Studios.

Checked in at kidani, kids are sucked into community hall for the playstation 3 so hubby and I are having a beverage at Sanaa bar ....just waiting for our room to be ready and our groceries ro be delivered. Ahhhhhhhhh, this is vacation.

The fried chicken was amazing. its a fun place... we don't come here every trip but its definitely good.

Back in our room from EMH at the studios. It was packed. Toy Story line an hour before park closed was out the door and all the way down to the backlot tour. We had dinner at 50's Prime Time and spent the rest of the night at the Osborne lights. Ride lines were crazy.

I am hoping the crowds will improve later this week. We might have to start getting up early instead of relying on EMH for rides. Luckily our kids have been here so many times they are happy tp just do anything. We hope to have some pool time maybe tomorrow. Dinner tomorrow night is Chef Mickey's.

Wow, that upload was so easy. This iPad never ceases to amaze me. I was able to buy the iPad camera kit at target right before our trip so it's really easy to transfer. Let's try another one:

I noticed it looked like the Electric Lights parade at MK. Is Spectro not being shown now? I saw the EL in June but I am hoping that Spectro is coming back. I hope you had a great day. Love the pics!

Yep, you are right. I'm not sure when Spectro is due back here, but I will ask next time we are at MK.

My thoughts so far on Kidani:

It is a very nice resort. Clean, new, and best of all it's smaller and more intimate ..... At least it feels that way. The lobby is nice but small. The whole place just feels more manageable than Jambo. Walking from our room to the bus stop, or to the bar, or community hall, etc, you don't feel like it takes as long to get there. I've already told you about our amazing villa. We really lucked out because we have standard view which could have been overlooking just the parking lot but we ended up right over the pool and next to the savannah. In fact the next room down from ours is savannah, so really we couldn't have asked for anything better. The only request we made on our reservation was "high floor", the rest was just luck.

While waiting for our room to be ready yesterday we explored quite a bit. We met a really nice CM named Kat who is the bartender at Sanaa. She said most people don't even realize there is a hotel bar here at Kidani, so if you're in the resort go down and have a drink and enjoy this hidden spot.

A few quick things about our villa: it is huge, we have two bathrooms, there are tons of outlets, both tvs are top quality, the kitchen is nice but doesn't have much cabinet space for groceries, the master bathroom is gigantic (is this because we are in an end room??) two pullouts in the living room so the kids don't have to sleep together. The master tub is extra long with jets, I already tried it out the shower could fit the whole family LOL, we have an entry closet and another large closet in the master bathroom, I'd say this is probably the best one bedroom villa we've had, seems much bigger than the one we had in Jambo as well as a lot bigger than the other DVC resorts we've stayed at.

Spending the day at Epcot.... it is crowded, we got FP for test track, the kids are currently doing a Kim possible mission. Dh and I have been having a few beverages around the world .... a beautiful warm Florida day.
