Didnt come out at all when we were there. We rode it 15 times in 4 days and he never came out once.

I don't know but I look at it this way...they only people who don't know Imhotep doesn't come out are the one who have never ridden it...or read this thread. Only those of us who have ridden it know what's supposed to be happening.

When we were there last week, we overheard a son in his 30's telling his dad who was in his 60's about the ride. Obviously it had been a while since he rode it OR his memory was really bad, because this was the description he gave...."It's just like Pirates, but without the water." After the ride the we heard the father saying, "Wow, that is NOT what I expected."

I have been told by people that you are not allowed to take ANYTHING on The Mummy ride and you have to put your stuff in a locker. But I have seen a lot of videos on you tube and I was wondering, how do people get their video cameras on the ride?

You notice that the camera starts to film as soon as the ride leaves the load platform. Most likely the attendant asked them to put the camera in a pocket, they did, then when the car got dispatched, they pulled it out again.

its a small one so I should be able to fit it in my pocket. I mainly just want tape the waiting line that sounds really neat

I would suggest wearing cargo pants or shorts...the pockets are deep and most have a button closure so stuff won't go flying out.

People who take pics/video on rides are LUCKY. Lucky that their camera stays with them and doesn't become a missile/lost and found/shattered to bits/my new toy.

i'm a stuffer....

in october i had a mini umbrella with me as it was raining off and on.

the tm said i had to secure that umbrella.

i stuffed it down the front of my shorts.


ouch...........whenever the coaster went fast......



use pockets, not the front of your shorts to secure things...

I don't want to record the ride, I am way to paranoid about losing things, especially my video or still camera. I just want to film the waiting line and all the neat things to look at. And get us as we are leaving the ride. So I am not going to try recording the ride.

Luckily...I've never seen anything "pop" out.
