The Mouse-KIDS are in charge...a Jan '12 PTR NEW 2/5 TR link & new tickers

Great plans! How organized you all are!

thanks...it is actually quite FUN for me ;) and I think the kids are seeing how much work i have put in for the best trips

Hmmm... I'll have to think about this. My first thought is to get hoppers! :rotfl:

I know, we have done it both ways and each has it's advantages...but :confused3

I like the idea of MK on your departure day but it will be busier with morning EMH. I'm not a big fan of EMH... granted I usually stay off-site so I have it ingrained in my brain to avoid them, but I do think it increases crowds. Even with the GAC, we try to avoid the most crowded parks - I'd be especially inclined to avoid EMH parks (especially morning EMH) since you don't have hoppers! I also like the idea of MK on your arrival day since you don't know when your room will be ready & you could easily take a break to get settled in, then head back out. (I'd be OK with the pm EMH since you could take advantage of that.) But do you feel like you'd have enough MK time with two partial days? AK is a good half-day park for Thursday/departure day too.

I have done and steered cleared of the EMH's...but i just have a feeling they may be to our advantage this time... and doing MK on arrival day gives us alot of flex w/ arriving, room ready and a break even on day 1) :thumbsup2

I agree with DHS or Epcot on your golf day. Epcot needs more touring time so I'd probably go with the DHS & mini-golf combo. :thumbsup2

that was what i was thinking when the kids decided they liked FG better than WSL...didn't seem like it would fit before...but now

Don't know if that helps or not... I think about it some more.

it does thanks! :goodvibes

OK Here is Plan MP for NO Hopping (I'll be back with a plan for hoppers)

Sunday --- MK (emh pm)
Monday --- Cape May Character breakfast
Mini golf
DHS (emh pm)
Tuesday --- AK
Shopping (dinner at DTD)
Wednesday --- Epcot
Thursday ---- MK (emp am)

I'm not worried about emp am at MK on Sunday ....crowds are low, you have a GAC and just fits better with departure day.

By doing MK on arrival night you can split up later in the night for who ever needs to sleep.

I would have never thought of splitting up the mini golf and shopping to two diff days...but this actually makes more sense and you see B's comments above :rotfl:

not sure we could swing 8 am on departure day but we'll be ready to leave so we can max the day before flying home...really hope I can get good flight times!

Matt, my Mom and I did the cape may character B long ago during our '94 trip...it was called Admiral Goofy's meal, and B was just looking at those pixs when we were waiting out the Tornado warning on Tues night...she wants to know if he still dresses like that? I looked up the menu on AllEars looks good, but no Mickey

Now how what would be the best way to get there? take bus to DHS then walk over? if I got a 9 am time or earlier we'd have to leave pretty early from the resort...I wonder if a cab would be good idea. :scratchin

what time would you go w/?

and I don't think you have to reserve a time for mini golf...

AMY (or anyone)...can you walk or boat shuttle over to Dolphin Swan area from BC?

EeeeeeKKKK!!!! This was a toughie!!

Here's Plan MP for HOPPING

Sunday -- Travel / MK (emh pm)
Monday -- Character Breakfast @ monorail resort or Cape May/ mini golf / DHS (emh pm)
Tuesday -- MK / break at BLT / Epcot
Wednesday -- AK (emh am) / break at BLT / Epcot
Thursday -- MK (emh am) / travel

This plan has no DTD planning because it heavy in time at MK -- a trade off -- you could plan time to shop on Main Street

I like the idea of 3 times at MK...but it does feel rushed, and I know I don't want that for myself or the kids...plus as B points out...since we are tight on $ we should probably stick w/ non hoppers  leave it to the child to be sensible :rotfl:

Thanks Steve....errr I mean Rebekah. I think the most important parts of picking your park days is to do it so you aren't traveling too much to get back and forth to where you want to go and making sure that everyone can have a break and get rest. Plus you need good places to eat!

thanks, that makes alot of sense and GO

Mom or Scrappie showed me the menu for the cape may place...YUM! I love breakfast

thanks MRYPPNS for giving us this suggestion, I think this is the best one that works for us so far. um....and I think it was a good idea to split up the mini golf and shopping so it won't end up being full of cranky kids and a tired Mom at the end of the day :hippie:  (I love the banana)

PS I love your Dis name

I am going to share this w/ my sister and brother and see what they think.

Rebekah (aka Steve...cause Steve is awesome)

I agree with you Rebekah! This is a great itinerary! Well done Heidi! :thumbsup2 I'm not sure about the DHS EMH but if you'll actually stay late enough to take advantage of it, go for it!

By the way, who's Steve? :confused3

And yes Julie - You can very easily walk (or boat) over to the Swolphin from the BC.

I would have never thought of splitting up the mini golf and shopping to two diff days...but this actually makes more sense and you see B's comments above :rotfl:

I'm a very visual person so when I'm thinking of these touring plans I always have a map in my mind. Getting to point A to point B isn't always the easiest thing to do with Disney transport so I like to make it as hassle free as possible.

not sure we could swing 8 am on departure day but we'll be ready to leave so we can max the day before flying home...really hope I can get good flight times!

It wasn't meant for you to be there at 8am. You can plan to zig that day while others are zagging. The other choice was AK that morning but you'd lose up to 2 hours in travel because you have to be back for ME pickup. At MK you can just walk back to BLT for ME at the exact time you need to.

No Mickey...he's at Chef Mickey's cooking the waffles :rotfl2: Instead of Cape May you could do any of the monorail character meals that morning.

Now how what would be the best way to get there? take bus to DHS then walk over? if I got a 9 am time or earlier we'd have to leave pretty early from the resort...I wonder if a cab would be good idea. :scratchin

Monorail to TTC /bus to DHS / boat to Swophlin /walk to mini golf (I assume mini golf opens at 10am)

what time would you go w/?

Depend on how late you want to at DHS that night .....I'd work backwards. I can't see getting at the way over to mini-golf and then going back to BLT then going back to DHS. Once you leave for the day - I'd be gone until I was finished for the night...does that make sense? If you do a monorail breakfast you can choose to hang out at BLT before heading out for the day/night for as long as you want.

and I don't think you have to reserve a time for mini golf...

:rotfl2: No there's isn't tee times!

I like the idea of 3 times at MK...but it does feel rushed, and I know I don't want that for myself or the kids...plus as B points out...since we are tight on $ we should probably stick w/ non hoppers  leave it to the child to be sensible :rotfl:

You know I find that when you don't have hoppers the planning is much easier !

thanks, that makes alot of sense and GO

Mom or Scrappie showed me the menu for the cape may place...YUM! I love breakfast

I love breakfast too! Especially when they serve dessert too!!

I agree with you Rebekah! This is a great itinerary! Well done Heidi! :thumbsup2 I'm not sure about the DHS EMH but if you'll actually stay late enough to take advantage of it, go for it!

Thanks! DHS emh is one of those trade off things. I was trying to give them time to go for mini golf in the morning, and not be back at BLT by 830pm. AK has emh am that day and with no F! that night, and MK has a showing of MSEP that night so crowds might not flock to DHS. Or I could be making this all up as I go along! :lmao:

OK, finally all caught up on this new PTR. :)

I really like Heidi's plan, it seems to work well. We did the Cape May breakfast in Oct 08, yumm!! As for transport, the easiest but not free is taxi otherwise you could bus to DHS and walk or boat over to BC. With morning ADRs I'm one to go the taxi route, less stress worrying about transport. If you want to do a monorail breakfast for ease of transport there is Ohana w/Lilo/Stitch/Pluto/Mickey at Poly.

So fun that you're including the kids so much with the planning. I'll probably go that route next time too, with them getting older and familiar with everything it's good to get their input. Plus they get to experience all that's involved with the planning.

I'm in! I love the idea of letting the kids make the plans! I might have to try that when my baby gets older. And wow!!!! I thought I was organized! That is amazing!! I can't wait to read more!

the kids have a lot of shows in mind for DHS...so those could take up the pre emh time and then there's ToT, TSM, ST, etc for emh time...I could see using up the time...

By the way, who's Steve? :confused3

you're asking the wrong person :rotfl: Her and Nathan and one of their good friends have this thing for calling each other other names and apparentylu bekah wants to be Steve  she does have an uncle Steve and a cousin Steve though too...

And yes Julie - You can very easily walk (or boat) over to the Swolphin from the BC.

are you taking typing lessons from me ;) can't wait to check out the Swolphin is that near Moracco :lmao:

thanks, this plan may work quite well...

for a short trip and lots of people DEF! in nov...the hoppers were a great advantage...but we still didn't hop everyday.

I love breakfast too! Especially when they serve dessert too!!

Bekah gives that a :thumbsup2

I'm w/ ya, even if you are making it up  but seriously I was thinkin the DHS emh could work for us...

I was thinking O'Hana as a possibility if we were doing monorail since we did Chef Mickey's in Nov. Have to see what the kids like and then plan it out time wise...if doing late park night at late bfast may work too...and 1 cab wasn't that bad when we did it in nov.

they are getting a kick out of it...and I really think they are starting to understand are that is invloved!

Hi and :welcome:

I am a bit of an organizational freak...you should look at some of my other PTR's ;) Planning for disney is truly half the fun for me! the concept of letting them take the reigns sort of just came to me and decided to run w/ it as I was wanting to focus more on their desires so why not let them PLAN it :goodvibes

I love Disney planning! We are 357 days out & I have everything planned out! We are going during my son's 12th birthday so he got to plan that day.

Mini golf

I just came home from camp and my Mom told me that F! is going to be closed...me don't like that :furious: because I like Villians :maleficen

I think the plan is very good  because it gives us lots of time to do everything we want and we don't have to go too many places either. ;)

My Mom thinks this is funny so I'm going to say is your husband's name Bert? :lmao:

Bob (aka Nathan)

from Matt...

when Mouse Scrapper told Bob about the plan and he said wait what? I told him he got to learn when Mom explains something to you and you zone out, when she asks your waht you think...you say" Yeah, that sounds fine" then Mouse Scrapper asked me what i thought about the plan and I said "Yeah that sounds fine"

and I say....HA HA HA :duck:

You never know.....there may still be a chance to see F!, January is a long time away.

Glad you like it. And it should give you time to play at BTL.

No, it's BRT. :rotfl2:

My husband keeps mumbling something about sitting on park benches...:rolleyes1

and I say....HA HA HA :duck:

Guess I was getting it confused with GTL (gym, tan, laundry):lmao:

I catch about one show a season...which is enough. But I watch my fair share of craptasic tv!

Chelsea takes great delight in finding the worst in trash tv and then watching it. :sad2: And she wonders why I won't let her have a television in her room!

We have now finalized our NEW game plan for our 5 days thanks to the help of MRYPPNS…

Sun 15th arrival/ MK eve EMH

Mon 16th late morning character meal/ mini golf-Fantasia gardens/ DHS eve EMH

Tues 17th AK morning thru lunch/ Marketplace for shopping and dinner

Wed 18th EP day w/ a break midday

Thurs 19th check-out/ MK/ departure

All the kids and Mom and Dad all like this plan :cool1: (so thanks MP) and feel this will help accomplish all the goals/places the kids would like to go during our quick 5 days…deciding what to do in each park will be the challenge… ;)

Up next in the planning is FOOD! So stay tuned… popcorn::

J~

Yeah! Glad I was some help. Now if I can just get my plans finalized tonight...

Can't wait to see where you are planning on eating at DTD and what character breakfast you choose.
