I just had a thought. If Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain are considered "The Mountains", will Expedition Everest, which looks the most like a real mountain, now also be considered one of The Mountains even though the word Mountain isn't in it's name? :confused3

I hope you will excuse me, I have far to much time on my hands. ::yes::

You know, I've pondered the same thing. :confused3

To me, EE won't really be a "mountain" not only "mountain" is not in its name, but also because the other 3 mountains are in the MK and this one is in AK.

EE will be in a class of its own.

<<<<<< OK call me dumb. Is this the new rollercoaster I have been hearing about? When is it due to open, if not already. I am going in July and am curious. Sorry for my ignorance! i think i heard that this is opening in the spring?????

any chance they will have soft opening between Feb 6-12?

Most likely. But I am not 100% sure. I heard there is a possible chance that there is a soft opening when the AP/DVC preview is going on, so there is a chance that there will be in Feb. :teeth:

Actually it is in the name, the full title is called, Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

Cool! Then it actually is an official Mountain, even if it's not in MK.

Maybe this is the beginning of a Mountain trend in AK!
How about a Gorillas In The Mist Mountain or Tarzan's Jungle Mountain? :sunny:

The AP preview is the last weekend in January.

I believe, I don't remember for sure, that in an interview on the History Ch. WDW special, the Imagineer who designed EE referred to it as the "newest mountain"

 :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

I just noticed, I'm no longer earning my ears! I'm a full fledged mouseketeer!!!

OH HEY! I'm no longer earning my ears also! How did that happen?

Cheers to TriMom & TLPL, the new Mouseketeers! :flower:

Back to the topic at hand, you guys will freak when you see the EE mountain in person. It looks soooo real!
I can't wait to ride it at the AP Preview! :thewave:

I'm jealous! I can't wait till we go in July...I want to see it NOW!!!

So... after EE opened, will people consider AK as a full-day park?? If not, what else do they need to become one?

Just thought I would mention that my partner, Amy, is in the World this week and told me that EE is done and they are sending empty carts (trains??) through during the day. She waited around hoping they would need someone to test if for them! :hyper: But, no luck. She says it looks like it will be super fun.

since Space M, BTM, and Splash M are the 3 tallest mountains in FL, is it safe to assume EE will be joining the group???

EE is actually taller than all three. It is 1 ft under the Florida building limit so it will not have to have a flashing red light.

Ehh, I don't think I'll be calling EE one of "the mountains"...it's all about the original Triple Mountain Trifecta. For some reason, "Quadruple Mountain Quadfecta" just doesn't have the same ring.
