The Most Outrageous Things to do on a Cruise Ship

Back in the '70's and '80's the Bahamian youth used to climb the mooring lines and jump into the water for quarters. Security was almost nonexistent back then. We used to ship hope, go to the lounges on the different ships at night. I am showing my age but we all had a wonderful time on the Costa and Home Lines ships.

I mentioned on my previous post we went on a tour. It was more involved then that.

I was on a cruise with two of my girlfriends mid 90's we were all in our early 20's. The crew that wanted to give us a tour of their ship were the officers. They took us up to the Bridge to meet the captain. The 60 something year old captain spent about 30 minutes hitting on my best friend. "Me" being a great "wingman" somehow got us out of there. We ended up in the crews quarters where a party was going on. After about an hour of partying with the crew we decided we'd had enough of that. We escaped through the crew tunnels barefoot, beer in one hand, high heels in the other, laughing all the way off the ship and back on to our ship.

Yeah I guess security was non-existent. I'm so glad I was young in the 90's and not now. It's a completely different world now with social media. Every stupid thing you do might show up on someones you tube channel.

This isn't really outrageous, but I'll share it.
On a cruise last year I get a call at 1am. It was a young women from security with a cute British accent saying something about kids, bottles, not appropriate behavior.... I was half asleep.
The next morning I asked my kids what went on.
The story goes there was a kid in the Edge that was staying concierge that had access to carbonated Perrier bottles. The kids in the Edge were shaking them up loosening the caps and rolling them into the vibe so they would go off like Old Faithful. My son swears he was only the "getaway driver" holding the elevator.
I know some of you are thinking this is awful. These kids should be locked up the rest of cruise. I'm a child of the 80's. We didn't have internet this is the kind of stuff we did...like toilet papering houses. I gave my kids the adult talk... you know don't do this again I would never do anything like this. :rolleyes1

I told our waiter about it the next night at dinner. He couldn't stop laughing for 5 straight minutes. He said he was going to do this prank to some of his fellow crew members. I was like noooo..................

On the Dream last July there was a young man, maybe 14-15 years old, who spent his days in the elevator pushing every button so you stopped at each floor. After a couple of rides with him we learned to wait for the next elevator.
