The Most Expensive Free Trip Ever - TR Link is Up! Pg. 164

:lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl:

I had a comment, but.............

Yeah, better just to leave it at that!

Hi Glenn! I've been running into you on the boards and thought I'd check out your PTR. :thumbsup2 Very excited to see that you'll be staying at CSR! My husband and I are thinking about staying there during our couple's only trip next January.

I'm off to get caught up on your plans and past trips. :goodvibes

:welcome: Carissa!

Glad to have you onboard. Yes, CSR will be new for us, so stay tuned!

I'm sorry the title is lost on me, other than this guess:

Was there another reason the lady in front of you kept pushing her chair back besides horking in on Judy's space?? Was it some sort of jet propulsion thing going on??

Ha! No, it wasn't anything like that! I may have gotten you to read more into than was there.

One of Mozart's most famous compositions is commonly known by the name "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik", which translates as "A Little Night Music". So, since we were going to a concert, at night, that featured Mozart, I figured it was a good title.

I'd say that ballerina needs to pack her goods a little better or there'd certainly be some other kind of dance all together going on!

That's pretty much what Judy said too.

:lmao: I feel your pain. We lived in Australia for three years and I'm not sure I ever once remembered to ask for a serviette. Thankfully, we lived in a town that was full of us Yanks and the Australians got asked for napkins often.

I'm glad you understand the situation I was in! It only took me about 48 hours in the country to make a complete fool out of myself.

Awesome update glennbo123.

I'm surprised of the level of detail. I can't believe you took pictures of the food before knowing the DIS

I didn't find the DIS....the DIS found me.

That was absolutely priceless!!! :lmao:

Just passing it on so others can learn from my mistakes!

Hi Tracy...you posted while I was responding to the earlier posts. Almost missed yours.

Hey Glenn!! Finally all caught up...I really took my time looking through all of your pictures (I had to take notes to remember everything! :rotfl2:)

That's great! It must be interesting enough if you're paying that close attention.

What a fun visit to Belgium and to visit with your host family and that you have all continued to keep in touch. :goodvibes
I would love to try some of the frittes with mayo. I don't like ketchup  and have often used mayo (or malt vinegar is yummy too ;)) for fries.
I love Stella :goodvibes

We had a fantastic time! I could go for some frittes with mayo and a Stella right now.

You may notice that my dog Ziggy in my avatar is wearing a Burberry harness :rotfl2: It is not real of course, although I may have a wallet and backpack that are :sad2:

No, I couldn't make that out until now. He must be spoiled rotten!

There was a mention of OBX somewhere....love it there and haven't been in a few years

Hmmm, I wonder where that was. Maybe I should pay closer attention. We've only visited once, but used to live in NC, further down the coast -- in Wilmington. Loved it there.

On to Vienna....the cathedrals and architecture are just stunning....you almost need a panoramic or wide angle lens to get everything in....I kept looking at one of the cathedrals and kept noticing different statues and such! Just beautiful!

I wish I had known of the technique that Great Biscuit uses for his panoramic shots, and the software he uses to "stitch" them together. It could have made for some stunning pictures.

The Johann Strauss statue is beautiful too....with the gold and marble..wow!!

Since you're digging the architecture and statues, I'll give you one more (everyone else look away -- okay, nevermind, I know you can't). I had this one in Photobucket, but it didn't fit with the flow of the report, so left it out. This was some detail on one of the buildings in Vienna on our first day when we were walking around, before we got to the Strauss statue. I love how the statue guys are wrestling!

Edited to add: I just looked back and I did include this one in the TR....nevermind!

I have an Andrew Wyeth print in my living room.....the one with the dog on the bed :goodvibes
Thanks for sharing!!

Tracy

I know the one you're talking about. So peaceful. Every dog owner can relate.

Hey Glenn! Finally got caught up.

Awesome photos! Loved the Fahrt of course!

I guess I'll need to give in and take the girls to a ballet sometime. (Wonder if there are any from Vienna around here.)

Honeydews??!! And I get flack on my thread for this kind of stuff!? :lmao:

I had to go back and look to see what you were talking about.

Wowza! :scared1:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It didn't occur to me to post this on your thread with your dancing montage. Probably better not.

He was talking about the color of the dress of that one singer. ;)

Of course. That's what caused my reaction, too.

Honeydews??!! And I get flack on my thread for this kind of stuff!? :lmao:
Sorry:flower3: I was just, just overcome.

I just finished showing Bekka all these really neat photos of your European Extravaganza, and she, of course, loved the Good Fart.

Being like her sarcastic mom, her comment about the Schonn was, "that's it?" :lmao::lmao:

Anyway, she says she'll never rest until you confirm her adamant suspicions, that you are a physician. She says if ever anyone looked like a doctor YOU are IT!!

I told her I didn't think so, but really didn't know for sure what you DO do. (HA! that kinda came out funny.)

just can't get away from the dookie can you L?:rotfl2:

It's a scary thing.

See? I coulda left off the second "do", but I don't know if that would sound right either- grammatically speaking. Going with the more important of the 2.

:lmao:

He likes the rough and ready look.

Thanks, I think. Maybe I should work the word "sweaty" into my TR title? ;)

Answer at your own risk. But in your case I was definitely meaning Teddy Roosevelt style.

He had some cool clothes, but I hope I don't have his smile.

Remember this conversation??

Bek just walked in and said, and I quote, "You know mom how Zachary Taylor had the nickname 'Old Rough and Ready'? Well, he was always dressed like a slob, and one time a new lieutenant saw him cleaning his sword behind his tent, and asked him if he'd take a dollar and clean his as well."

So, apparently, my knowledge of trivia is not quite as refined as you- when you are cleaned up. :lmao: Which according to, who was it? Cherie or Jordan you do quite nicely. :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Anyway, just wanted to correct myself, before my smarty pants daughter flamed me hard here.

Tree of Life/ Date Night

I had heard about this trail here on the board. Robo has a great map on the theme parks board - sure hope I can find it too. In concept it doesn't look that hard to find, but you never know.

i think the lizard thing you were wondering about is an ankylosaurus??

I love how the colors of the trunk are actually varied as well. Some grays, some more brownish tones. Nice touch.

There's a dragonfly that I found that I thought was pretty nice.

Your comment about Judy liking it and you were glad you did the research. HA! Anything to justify our habits and addictions, eh? I "do research" a lot too. :lmao:

Date Night:

Yeah, the castlehead picture was funny. But only cuz you mentioned it. I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

You both have smiles that look like a million bucks.

Of course you didn't go to a park; it was date night.
