The Mominator Vs. The Kinder Gentler Me...Go Read the TR!!!

I have the celery Crocs too! And the chocolate mary janes!! :thumbsup2

High five for people packing things "outside in"!!!!!! Yes...I do it too! :sad2:

Michael and I are completely packed and ready to go!:hyper: :hyper:
:cheer2:
So are Maddie, Evan and Andy. I'm about 90% packed!

001-1.jpg
:rotfl2: Ok, so I'm reading your latest and greatest, right? Guess who's learing over my shoulder? Andy starts laughing and saying "She's just like you! Another crazy packer!" :rotfl2:
:cloud9:
Oh, and here's what a packing dork I am...I turn everything "outside in" when I pack. Why? Who the heck knows...it's a habit. I can not NOT do it!
I'm not sure I KWYM. 'Splain please. :teeth: Do you mean inside out? :lmao:
Super cute! :goodvibes
Yep - I fit all of my clothes into this one suitcase!!:cool1: However, that leaves shoes and "stuff"... Now this is where I admit that I was wrong...so, so, so very wrong for teasing Tracy about her shoes she was packing for her trip...
Aha! You see? :rolleyes1

is the red Crocs:eek: I know! I can't believe I said it either. I love 'em...they're so comfy, but...they look like clown shoes on my feet! There! I said it!:headache:
I'm with you there. My feet look like giant U-boats in those things! :scared:
So after I "bag 'em and tag 'em"...then I loaded up his suitcase...
007-1.jpg
Love the bag 'em and tag 'em method! :thumbsup2 I'll nevah go back!

Great installment, sista! I love all the details! ;)

Boy, are you organized! I think I mentioned before that I "roll" my packing too, but I like your vertical style. :thumbsup2

LOVE the luggage!

Your guest room looks like y guest room right now
Glad Michael is feeling better

See Janet - piles on the bed definitely count!:thumbsup2

LOL me too V! :happytv:
DOH! I didn't even know it was on yesterday!! :headache: I'd have watched too!!

LL glad to hear Michael's getting better, sending vibes that he'll be good to go for trip time.

Thanks! The poor little guy has a nasty case of cabin fever now as I haven't even let him out of the house in nearly 5 days...wish I could put him in a bubble for the next 2 weeks:rolleyes:

OMG LL, now that is some packing and organization! I must say I've never seen a suitcase packed that way, veeerrry interesting, I just might have to try that.

Ok - the whole packing thing? I kind of got the idea from an LL Bean catalog, believe it or not...they had these suitcases that open vertically instead of like typical suitcases and they showed them kind of packed like this so I decided to try it and I love it. Seems like I can get 2x the amount of stuff in! Of course, it could be just a phase I'm going through...I went thru one for awhile where I left clothes on the hangers and folded everything over each other into the suitcase which worked pretty good too. Then I just had to pull the stuff out and hang them all up...I was unpacked in minutes:thumbsup2 Ah well....

Lots of questions tonight...

How does the vertical packing system hold up to wrinkling? 'Cause I'm looking at it and thinking this makes SO much sense!

It works pretty well and it seems like as long as keep everything folded, flat and in place, the wrinkles are minimal. I also tend to take tops, especially in this case where there's a lot of tanks/halters and put them inside the pants/shorts I'll be wearing them with so they're kind of protected from shifting, etc...Sounds crazy, I know...

Are those Celery colored Crocs, or is the color distorted online? Thye look so cute!

Yep - they sure are! I've been thinking of getting a white pair of MJ's though...can't wear my brown ones with everything....

Tell me, are those SWEATPANTS I see in Michael's pile? You know it's like 1000 degrees down here now, right?!
WHAT?!?! Sweatpants? No...I'll have to go and look at the pictures to see what you're talking about, but definitely NO sweatpants here. The thermometer said it was 102 - inside my garage - yesterday...NOPE - no sweatpants in sight for us!!

I have the celery Crocs too! And the chocolate mary janes!!

See? Great minds think alike!!:thumbsup2

High five for people packing things "outside in"!!!!!! Yes...I do it too! :sad2:

I knew it couldn't be just me!! I even hang my clothes in my closet outside in. It's nuts, I know, but I just feel better knowing the chances are very small that anything will get on the outside of my clothes if I keep them inside out until I put them on. After that, I can't be responsible for my messy old self.

So are Maddie, Evan and Andy. I'm about 90% packed!

:thumbsup2 All that's left to do is watch the calendar change!

Ok, so I'm reading your latest and greatest, right? Guess who's learing over my shoulder? Andy starts laughing and saying "She's just like you! Another crazy packer!" :rotfl2:
Hi Andy! :wave2:Love you too!! I went outside yesterday and told Tony that Michael and I were officially all packed and he just went, "Of course you are" and shook his head....:sad2: Oh to be a fly on the golf course...

I'm not sure I KWYM. 'Splain please. :teeth: Do you mean inside out? :lmao:
Yep - inside out. I also find that wrinkles, though few, after you pack inside out, look better when you outside in them to wear. Or was that, pack outside in and then inside out them? Wait. Now I'M confused:confused3 Then I don't have to spend all my free time ironing. KWIM?

Aha! You see? :rolleyes1
Yes, you're right...

It was still fun teasing you about it. AND I'll go so far as to bet that I can go with at least ONE LESS pair of shoes than you...;)

I'm with you there. My feet look like giant U-boats in those things! :scared:
It drives me crazy...I think I've worn the things twice - and probably to the grocery store - but that's it. Big waste of money these crocs turned out to be for me...:sad2:

Love the bag 'em and tag 'em method! :thumbsup2 I'll nevah go back!
I did notice that Michael's clothes are a bit harder to fit in those bags this trip. They're in there, but not without a fight though on some stuff!

Great installment, sista! I love all the details! ;)
Thanks sweetie! I knew you could relate!!

Boy, are you organized! I think I mentioned before that I "roll" my packing too, but I like your vertical style.

LOVE the luggage!

Thanks! I'm digging the vertical...I stand up my suitcase and then just open it when I need stuff...I packed pretty much the way I'll wear stuff, from top to bottom. So I don't really even have to dig through it all, if you KWIM. I hope the luggage holds up! I couldn't turn down the sale though...$55 for the set and $5 shipping. Couldn't beat it with a stick.:thumbsup2

So glad to hear Michael's on the mend!

FYI - guess what I'm watching as I DIS????

"Wally World, next three exits!"

So have we figured out what Cousin Eddie's wife name is yet??:confused3

Hey Lauralee,

Your about a week ahead of me!!

I'm packing this coming weekend and I expect my bedroom to look alot like your spare room, (add about 30 more suitcases though :rolleyes1 ).

This will be my 1st bag 'em and tag 'em trip and I am too excited for words, I can't hardly wait to toss DD9 and DS4 a bag each morning and move on to more important things (like me!!!) :cool1:
Oh yeah, the teanagers are on there own, and anybody not ready when mom is ready can either go naked or get left!! :rotfl2: (just kidding, or am I? :confused3 )

The vertical packing thing does make sense. I'm sure it is a space saver to stand your suitcases up against a wall too. Not sure that I can do the whole inside out thing... Do you wash all of your clothes the wrong way or are you turning them after you wash them? I don't think I would have the patients to turn them inside out, then outside in. You have patience.

I too have the red mickey crocs and yes they look like boats on my tooties, but yes they are ohhh so comfy and I still wear them to the store and in WDW! Last trip I rotated between my choco MJ crocs and my claud hopper red mickey crocs. When i didn't have them on my dh had them on his feet.

I feel like I over pack with 3-4 pairs of shoes. You, Tracy & V put me to shame :rotfl: My DH already thinks I'm nuts, boy would he be signing me up for the local looney bin if I packed 8-9 pairs.;)

Hi Andy! :wave2:Love you too!! I went outside yesterday and told Tony that Michael and I were officially all packed and he just went, "Of course you are" and shook his head....:sad2: Oh to be a fly on the golf course...

Unfortunately Dad is working next week, but not on the golf course(s):sad2: It would have been pretty funny to have him play with the boys' minds:lmao: But with the Bucaneers down there for training camp, he has been pulled in to the sports complex to work that.

LL could you give me more notice when you send Michael to my house to stay as I was frantically tidying up all my holiday stuff from the spare room, the things I dream about hey :rotfl:

Oh to be a fly on the golf course...
Hmmmm..... I wish there was a way to wire Waldo. :scratchin:

:thumbsup2 Now I completely understand. I wonder if there's enough time to repack using this method. :rolleyes1

I'm sorry, I can't take that bet. :lmao:

Oh I completely forgot to tell you. It's Cousin Katherine. I had to watch the DVD again last week.... all this talk Griswold talk got me jonesin' for a movie. :teeth:
LL could you give me more notice when you send Michael to my house to stay as I was frantically tidying up all my holiday stuff from the spare room, the things I dream about hey :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Hey Jo! Want a kindergarten exchange student? ;)

YO!!!!

Page 2? I think not.

Thanks for the bump!! I haven't been on much...trying to really bust my butt at work since Ben's going to be gone next week (and I've conveniently scheduled several appointments and errands for then:thumbsup2 )

Unfortunately Dad is working next week, but not on the golf course(s):sad2: It would have been pretty funny to have him play with the boys' minds:lmao: But with the Bucaneers down there for training camp, he has been pulled in to the sports complex to work that.

DOH!!!:headache: OH NO!! That would have been PERFECT!! Ok, well maybe if he gets a break on the 25th...they're teeing off at 9:06!!:rotfl2:

 Et tu, Brute'????:lmao:

If only....:rolleyes1

Well, there's several days left...:rolleyes1

KATHERINE!!! Thank you soooo much!!! I was going to watch one this weekend as I couldn't take "the not knowing" any longer!!

:rotfl2: Hey Jo! Want a kindergarten exchange student? ;)
Michael IS all packed...I could send him on a flight Friday with Ben....:thumbsup2

Good Morning LL, you'll be pleased to know I had no strange dreams last night :rotfl:

And no I'm strangely not interested in a kindergartener exchange :lmao:
