The moment that gives you the feeling...

- Getting off at MCO and seeing all the WDW ads and the big Disney Store
- Another one USED to be seeing all the WDW billboards as we drove to the hotel, but I think we are doing ME next time...
- Going through the sign :goodvibes
- Checking into the hotel
- Flopping on the bed and kicking off my shoes

When I drive my golf cart over to the trading post and pick up my internet kit at the Fort.

For me, it's literally everything. Just each is a different degree. Zipping up my suitcase for the last time, shutting and locking our backdoor for the last time, getting through security, and getting onto the airplane are all on the same level. Next level up would be getting my bag from baggage claim ((my favorite part of the airport)), and walking out of the MCO airport over into the rental car area, with the bumpy pavement that makes my suitcase wheels go crazy.Top level of excitement and tingles is stepping off the plane into the walkway and feeling the Florida humidity hit like a brick, getting on the bus/monorail for the first time, getting through the turnstiles((Mickey heads now, I know)) on the very first day, and walking around the corner on the right side to see the first glimpse of the castle - all the moments that truly give me the feeling of ""We're finally here""

For me its seeing the palm trees as we land and then that hot humid air hitting you as soon as you step off the plane. Another one is the smell of my suncream, I only use it when at Disney so the smell takes me straight back there and I get those 'tingly' feelings. I'm off to sniff my suncream now as I have to wait 4 months before i'm back home.

Arriving in Orlando and stepping off the plane
Enjoying the warm weather
The Welcome to Disney Arches

-being hit with the heat when you step outside of the airport
-the airport monorail
- smell of WDW water
- Magical Express!

We leave tomorrow!!!

...and the one attraction that signifies that "I'm Here" for me is Soarin.

Not sure why, but I think it' because it's so unique to Disney. Sure, other simulator rides have come out at other parks since then, but getting elevated way up there, with the immersive screen, the smells (oranges, pines, etc..), the cool seats with your feet just dangling... it's my signature Disney ride. It would feel really weird to visit WDW and not ride Soarin. It's not my favorite ride per se at WDW, but it screams Disney to me.

I love boarding my first Disney bus to go to the Magic Kingdom. Even the recordings, which get kind of old by the end of the week, are exciting to hear.

And our first ride is usually Peter Pan, which I think is so magical. Thank goodness it's a dark ride because I tear up a little.

And for some reason, I love the brownies at the resorts! So, buying a brownie on a disney plate and getting my refillable mug makes me very happy.

We head that way on Sunday! I can't wait to be home!

Getting our free oj at the welcome center, driving under the Welcome To Disney sign, seeing the purple roads sign and so many other little things....And I still get teary eyed on our first night of watching Wishes. Gets me everytime.

I get different feelings for different parts of my trip..

My first one starts at Orlando Airport. My go-to is to come off the plane and head to Starbucks. We take a very early flight, so coffee is very necessary. I also diet before our trip, so I usually get a latte to start off the trip. May as well indulge, it is Christmas Eve. It's then that I know I'm there.

The next one is when we pull into POFQ. It becomes "real." My coffee is starting to kick in, the weather is (hopefully) warm and I get the first real feel of the warm Florida breeze. The cool part is that I try and keep my coat on from when we leave NY to when we get to the resort. I want to not feel the warm temperature until I've actually arrived.

Then, there's the feeling you get when you enter each park for the first time. The memories and feeling like a kid again is the best feeling ever.

I travel for work a lot so the flight no longer gives me the same Disney holiday feeling it used to. What really gets me is reaching the magical express lines, stepping out and feeling the Florida heat and seeing the buses lined up to take us home to Disney. Then it's real.

Then of course going under that arch... Everything from that point on is magic. And a week tomorrow we will be doing it all again :D can't come soon enough.
