The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

I think they have them on the 4th of July for park guests, that may be the only time. Anyone else know?
Went to the one's on July 4th last year, when we were both there. Had to ride a bus back to Kidani instead of ending up on the monorail that night! :sad1:
You are a planner extraordinaire. Thank you for that.
You got it dude! :thumbsup2
Get your writers working on that.
I tried and all I got was blank stares from them too..... :confused3
TMI! TMI! TMI!
You're just jealous you didn't think of it first! :rotfl2:
Aw, you might get something from a silent movie. :confused3
The End
What about when you ride in the bottom of a canoe for 5 hours?
Exactly
But if I had left the picture in and you were fishing for points, would you have said the same thing?
Since when would that stop me? I already spotted her in the crowd! :rolleyes1 I also spotted her head in the foreground of one of the firework pictures until I realized it was a tree in the background! :scared1: Another fine example how stuff in the "background" can potentially get you in trouble!
I agree, it's not her....but you know how people get with these wild claims of Judy sightings.
I just saw her the other day walking down the street in my neighborhood! :teeth:
Just "Fireworks"?! How boring! :upsidedow
:worship: It's a start...... :woohoo:
Yes, it's becoming quite like Big Foot and Nessie...'cept she's a lot prettier.
Glad you got out of trouble by adding that last part..........uh, just in case she happens to read this TR sometime! :lmao:

Glennbo, how many busses did they have lined up there do you think to get all of you back so fast? I would have appreciated a few more boat launches from MK to the Poly some nights let me tell you. :rolleyes1

Lots. I should have mentioned that they weren't pulled up to the usual resort bus stops (heck, most of us were heading to CSR); they were all out in the parking lot since there weren't any cars out there. We walked to one of the farthest ones and it left right away.

Sounds like an amazing night and maybe the highlight of the trip. I love the crossroads sign picture. Brings back memories as well. :cloud9:

A very good night! I'll remember it for a long time.

Well....as you can see, some weeks are better than others. The past 2 weeks were nuts at work, in a good way mind you, but nuts and then I had a girls trip last weekend so I was pretty darn behind on the DIS! This week is better. House is not so clean and i haven't unpacked from my trip but I'm slowly catching up here.

So I can get behind again.

Loving the job. A little stressful in that we've been letting some folks go, I've been repeatedly assured I'm fine but still.....AAACK.

The others are largely performance related but a few too many, too close together for my personal comfort level.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad you love the job! It's a little scary that they're letting some people go, but I'm sure you'll be all right. (And I'm glad you've been able to stay on the DIS, even if it's not as much as you'd like.)

that is a funny guy in the background, reminds me of the guy that appears in all the adam sandler movies with the goofy disguises.

What a great look that guy has. I may have to photoshop him into some of my pictures.

Just "Fireworks"?! How boring! :upsidedow

You're getting spoiled tink! ;)

Yes, it's becoming quite like Big Foot and Nessie...'cept she's a lot prettier.

You missed your true calling Liesa....as a greeting card writer.

Went to the one's on July 4th last year, when we were both there. Had to ride a bus back to Kidani instead of ending up on the monorail that night! :sad1:

Oh yes, that night. Tragic.

I tried and all I got was blank stares from them too..... :confused3

Fire the lot of 'em!

You're just jealous you didn't think of it first! :rotfl2:

Who says I didn't?

Okay, now name the movie. "Um, all of them?"

Since when would that stop me? I already spotted her in the crowd! :rolleyes1

Good point.

I also spotted her head in the foreground of one of the firework pictures until I realized it was a tree in the background! :scared1: Another fine example how stuff in the "background" can potentially get you in trouble!

:lmao: See! That's what I'm talking about! I knew you'd drive yourself crazy looking through those crowds.

Glad you got out of trouble by adding that last part..........uh, just in case she happens to read this TR sometime! :lmao:

Well, she's met Liesa, so I'm sure she'd take it in the spirit it was intended. :)

Who needs background when I've got the best foreground a man could ask for? (Just in case Judy ever reads this, might as well score some points.)

I think this would have worked except for the little caveat attached to the end. Sorry Glenn, that's a killer to the "good" that you had intended. :lmao:

Hey Mark! :welcome:

It's great to have you here. Yes, I know it can be a little intimidating. Sometimes I only dare to peek in, myself. Just kidding. Feel free to use the links in the 2nd post of the thread to get caught up with the actual trip report material, and chime-in with the in-between banter whenever you want to.

We have a little game going here that started at Marvin's (Marvali) suggestion after about the 2nd chapter. After I post a new chapter, people try to be the first to respond with the correct number of times my wife appears in a picture. It started when I noticed Judy off in the distance in a photo from the Pepper Market, so now it's like a "where's Waldo" game. Sometimes it's just zero, like in this last chapter; sometimes there are a bunch. And "parts" count if you can deduce it's her (like part of an arm appearing in a picture of her plate of food). Some people have suggested that I may not be keeping track of the points ....and they may be right. :rolleyes1 But it's been a lot of fun.

For everyone else -- Mark has a good game going on his thread (although I don't know why I'm telling you that, I certainly don't need the competition) where you have to be the first to identify the movie lines that have made it into his chapters.

Not keeping track of the points?? Are you saying they're ultimately worth exactly as much as the points in my game? (Shh. Don't tell anyone)

Glen - nice job with the makeshift tripod! Those fireworks are really cool! You got some really great and different pics. I do love that first one of just the Hat!

Wow - were all those people leaving PChef people? I guess so - looks like a HUGE crowd.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 for great transportation back to the resort!

No, no, no....mine are worth at least twice as much!

Really enjoyed reading about your trip - can't wait until ours next Easter

Thanks

:welcome: excygnet! Don't put an "ed" on that verb just yet -- in the trip report we will soon be moving to Kidani for the DVC portion and a few more days of moist exhaustion.

Easter-time is probably a good time to go, weather-wise. I've never been at that time of year, but I imagine so. You'll probably have some crowds though.

Thanks ME.

Yep-er, all PChef. Bunches and bunches of buses.

Glenn! Those are some really cool pictures of the fireworks over the hat!! :worship: :worship: Someday I will get to see Fantasmic! :rolleyes1

ARe you another tragic victim of Costco Syndrome? You always think they're worth far more than they are, doncha?

Sadly, yes. I fall for it every time. :sad2:

On a related note, what am I going to do with these 5 gallons of horseradish?

I find it absolutely hilarious you had to edit your TR to avoid controversy over the game! :lmao:

But you are aware that you will never ever again be able to post a TR here on the DIS without this game? ;)

I am certain they are going to have a LOT of fun with this on their next trip!!!! I'm looking forward to it!!!

I think they have them on the 4th of July for park guests, that may be the only time. Anyone else know?

And NYE

Sadly, yes. I fall for it every time. :sad2:

On a related note, what am I going to do with these 5 gallons of horseradish?

:rotfl: Fire up the grill with some brats!

Once you sell a zillion copies of that book you're going to write and you're wildly wealthy, laughing in the face of J.K. Rowling....then you can book your private party. Remember to include me in your 50 please!
:rotfl:

I like your thinking. And of course you're included! We might as well bump it up to a few hundred, and turn it into a big DIS party...

Glenn! Those are some really cool pictures of the fireworks over the hat!! :worship: :worship: Someday I will get to see Fantasmic! :rolleyes1

Thanks Carissa! That's the spirit.

Good to see you back on the DIS. :)

Dagnabbit! I knew I shouldn't have bought them in bulk.

Bugs Bunny! That's a Yosemite Sam quote, right?

ARe you another tragic victim of Costco Syndrome? You always think they're worth far more than they are, doncha?

Never pay retail!

Sadly, yes. I fall for it every time. :sad2:

On a related note, what am I going to do with these 5 gallons of horseradish?

Gargle with it and go to a dentist appointment?

Ummm.... buy a very, very large prime rib?

Like Fred Flintstone gets at the opening of every episode.

I find it absolutely hilarious you had to edit your TR to avoid controversy over the game! :lmao:

I cut it before I posted the chapter, but yeah...we've created a monster.

I am certain they are going to have a LOT of fun with this on their next trip!!!! I'm looking forward to it!!!

The question is will Judy participate when I say, "stand over here near this window, so I can get your reflection, but you're not in the picture"?

Oh yes, that's right.

:rotfl: Fire up the grill with some brats!

Hey now, his kids seem very nice on his TR. ;)

As long as you're booking the whole park, the lines shouldn't be too long with 100 people. How long until you start writing and the money starts rolling in?

BTW, I saw that you posted a new chapter....just haven't had a chance to comment yet.
