The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

11 judy's. I am not sure if you are done but i thought i better get in quick.:rotfl2:

Since I've had more guesses, I'll requote you Pat and let you know that you're close, but 1 off, by my count.

I counted 10, but poolrat is probably right. I probably lost one in going to see why my husband was cussing (the Bears blew a field goal!).

Nope, there were a couple of tricky ones in this installment. It was 12.

RUN AND HIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he hadn't missed, the score would be tied at the half. :rotfl2:

It was a 49-yarder, which is pretty durn long. The offense should have gotten him closer for a decent chance.

Fun night at HS. Was it a completely private party for pampered chef people? If so, there were sure a lot of PC people there. I love the "rock stars" hanging out by RnR. I love free dinner. That is definitely a winner! I love that you made it to ToT and back in 25 mins. Is that a record?

Yep, just PChef. If you needed to buy a spatula on June 15th, DHS was the place to be.

Free dinner is the best!

I don't know if 25 mins. is a record, but it's definitely my "personal best".

Wow, the bus thing sounds like a major hassle, but I guess you can't complain when its free, right? So how many Pchef people/families do you think were there for this week? Did anyone say?

Yeah, it was kind of a hassle, but like you point out, it was for a free night at DHS.

We never heard how many people were there. Sometimes we do hear a number when we're on these trips, but didn't this time around. It was a lot!

That's OK. In high school, I had to teach the teachers how to use the Apple IIe. I also had to network 12 commodore 64s together to use one printer. THAT was a nightmare. :scared1:

Ah, the good ol' days.

Great update. You must feel like royalty going in the back entrance and having the park all to yourselves ( and like 30,000 others).:lmao:

Yes, we were special. Just like everyone else. Just kidding...it was kind of cool to see what's behind the wall, even if it was just a parking lot.

My first guess is 11 also, but I'm gonna go look again :magnify::magnify:

Hmmmm.

Okay you REALLY got me nervous with that TSM update. I almost forgot that you had one more shot at it. My heart was thumping in my throat. Nice try though ;)

:rotfl2: I figured if I couldn't beat your score I could at least make you sweat it out a little.

What an amazing night to have DHS all to yourselves (well you and the rest of PChef lol) But all the free food?!?! I would have hyperventilated trying to have one of everything :hyper:

All the junk food you could possibly eat. We planned on getting ice cream, but never made it.

Those chocolate cakes have quite the history with my family. My mom LOVES them and were the running theme of our trip in Sept 2008. Glad you liked it!

Those things were really good! I didn't realize that you, or more so your mom, was such a big fan. (She has good taste.)

After further review - I want to change my answer to 12 please

:dance3: WINNER!!! :dance3:

And weren't you just talking about how you can never win this?

There were some really difficult ones in this installment - one of the pictures out of the bus window has Judy in it, but it's hard to tell that it's her, and the really tricky one is where Lauren is holding up her mustard art -- Judy's arm is on the left side of the picture.

It looks like the party was reasonably well planned. Now I know what is on the other side of that fence at Rock n' Rollercoaster. Hey! Free food to boot!

Disney probably does events like this fairly frequently, so they've got it down.

Yes, the mystery of what's on the other side of the fence has been answered.

I'm studying up on tricks for Disneyland's version of TSMM so I guess I'll see if I can challange these scores in a few weeks. :3dglasses

Good luck! Hope your arm's ready.

I'll be attending Mickey's Halloween Party so I guess I'll get a taste of what a private party is like. :woohoo:

Looking forward to reading about it.

Looking forward to the Idol event next. I've never even been inside that building so it will all be new to me.

It was new to me also.

I assure you that is not me. I was stuck in traffic south of Houston when Rita took a nasty turn towards us. S. Padre was lucky and had those waves. I got to drive on the left side of the Interstate which is something you don't do every day though. :confused3

I've been through hurricanes also, and have driven on the left side of highways, just like you mention. It is kind of weird. You're driving along hoping that someone is in fact diverting traffic up ahead.

I saw 10 for sure and 2 possibles !!! So I am going with 12 !!!

Well, you beat Marv, but Tanya was first. But beating Marv is a pretty good victory, right?

Oops so busy counting Judy's I forgot to comment on the update !!Awesome as usual !!The line for the buses sounds scarey!!!

Thanks Rosie! :)

Yep it;s me again:rotfl2:I got out of work early to rush home to count Judy's!!!:rotfl2: I should add another to my count as my Judy is sleeping in bed and I saw her !!!!:rotfl2:
Did I beat Marv pleasde tell me I did !!!;):lmao:

Yes, yes, you beat Marv. Now grab a spoon and beat him again.

That's one helluva party the PC throws. Now I know where all my chip clip money goes. :rotfl2:

Yep, now you know. They do a pretty good job of rewarding their people who sell-sell-sell.

Another case of "the more you know" concerning that line! I think the old adage, "the early bird gets the worm" applies very nicely there!! :thumbsup2 And nice that you were still 26th with your "stand firm" stance!

It's very much like lining up for a parade spot an hour early....it's an investment.

Stiltmosphere - GOOD ONE! :lmao:

25 minutes to TOT and back! Awesome stealth there!

Good thing I trained on a Kazakhstani track, no wait, that was you. Good thing I trained on the jogging trails around my place of work.

FREE FOOD= BEST FOOD!

That was one of Einstein's early equations.

12 Judy's by my best count, but that guess was already taken. Too late by about 4 hours.

Correct. Good for 3rd place.

VERY respectabe TSM score there. WE'll see in the end who can do better- or not. ;) Whatever my score was, my arm will NEVER be the same. EVER!

That game is an arm killer.

I KNOW this is late, and even later than Rosie :sad2: but we had some very bad thunderstorms come through all last evening, so I shut down all the electronics and couldn't search until this morning. No biggie and made for a quiet and relaxing evening (well except for all that thunder and lightning just outside). :confused3

You made Rosie's day, by answering after her.

I enjoy being hunkered-down at home with a thunderstorm or blizzard happening outside (as long as the power stays on and the roof stays in place).

Having a chance to finally search your update this morning, I will go along with those who claim 12 Judy-do sightings in your pictures (unless you found out that one girl with the dark hair in the hot pink top was also named Judy, and that was your excuse for taking HER picture.....or maybe it was Candi!) :lmao:

Good job on coming up with the correct answer, there were some difficult ones.

I'm with Rosie! That's exactly what I got.

You guys are really getting good at this!

Great update! Super call on getting to the bus stop early! I'm glad you stood your ground and kept your spot in line.

Thanks.

:cool1: On the free food!

Nothing better!

:cool1::cool1::cool1: On the quick rides on RNR, TSM and ToT!

I didn't think that we got a whole lot accomplished, but when you think about it I did the 3 major rides and ate dinner in a span of 3 hours. Not too bad.

Okay Glen did I win !!!!! Can't believe Marv copied me:rotfl2:

You beat Marv, and that's what really counts. ;)

RUN AND HIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he hadn't missed, the score would be tied at the half. :rotfl2:

Hey, I read this morning that he made 2 field goals at the end of the game to tie it and then win it. My advice is looking a lot better now. :rotfl2:

Or you can be lucky like me and get some kind of special treatment... but by the rate our TR ist going you might have forgotten about all this and your arm will be back to normal.

Did you already cover that in your TR? I don't remember it, so if you have, I'm embarrassed. :guilty: What was the special treatment exactly? (Maybe I'll remember.)

I counted 11 Judy's then saw this...

There were some really difficult ones in this installment - one of the pictures out of the bus window has Judy in it, but it's hard to tell that it's her, and the really tricky one is where Lauren is holding up her mustard art -- Judy's arm is on the left side of the picture.

I missed the mustard art Judy! :headache:

All well, I'm late to the game anyway! :sad2:

Fantastic update!!! What a VERY fun night! Free food always makes everyone happy. I think it's great that they just did the vendors versus a buffet - a buffet is always hard to get what you want/has to close, etc. Plus, it probably costs more for PChef/Disney.

I laughed out loud at your preparing for TSM routine, including the head to belly bump! :lmao:

Looking forward to Idol!

Did you already cover that in your TR? I don't remember it, so if you have, I'm embarrassed. :guilty: What was the special treatment exactly? (Maybe I'll remember.)

Sorry it that was misleading! I was just covertly criticizing my sister for not writing any PR updates for months (at least it feels like months). We have not covered it yet in our TR and I guess it will take us moths to get there... But still, I’m not sure about telling you now, we might loose you as a reader ;)

I hadn’t seen that much congestion since…I don’t know, fill in your own joke here…Barbara Streisand caught a head cold? What can you come up with?
:rotfl2: Don't think I can do better than that visual!

Then we were directed toward an open gate, and we entered the park near the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster fastpass machines.

IMG_3074.jpg
A-HA! I've long wondered for what that gate was used!

Instead of a buffet, we could get food from any of the vendors.
Nice! :thumbsup2

IMG_3082.jpg

So we walked over to Rosie’s All American Café.

IMG_3083.jpg
OMG, ALL of these people are PChef folks?! This is huge!

You don't see an amount due of "0" every day at Disney.
Shoot, I've never seen an amount due of "0" at WDW, lol!

(Or maybe it was that nobody wanted to get slimed by the gross, sweaty guy?)
Definitely a possibility. ;)

Wow, I am finally back to catch up on this latest update! :rolleyes1

I cannot believe all the people in line to leave! At least you weren't at the back of the line!

So neat you got to go in a "secret" way. I've always wondered what was behind the gates over by RnRC! Now I'll always think of you when I see them.

I'm sure someone has already asked this, but was DHS only open to PChef people that night? Because the crowds sure look crazy!

25 minutes to go from Idol, ride ToT, then make it back?! That has to be a record! :thumbsup2

Great update Glennbo!

Always cool to get a little backstage magic going on.

Sounds like you had an awesome night. The $0 deal was downright nifty.

Since I've had more guesses, I'll requote you Pat and let you know that you're close, but 1 off, by my count.

ARRRHHHHH However I recounted and I found 13. If the one after the mustard one( which I did miss thank you very much) has part of Judy's top in the very top left hand corner then it is 13.

:dance3: WINNER!!! :dance3:

And weren't you just talking about how you can never win this?

:cool1::cool1::banana::banana: I've been on a roll this week - I guessed right on EandE's will they or won't they ride Everest, I got Liesa's "B" and now I'm first in the Judy game :woohoo: I think I need to go buy a lottery ticket before all my luck disappears again. The Mustard Art pic was my #12 - I had to compare who was sitting where in the next picture to see if that was her arm or someone elses.....then I had to go back to all the other no-Judy pics to see if she stuck a finger or a lock of hair in the frame somewhere.....:sad2: I was even checking reflections in the bus windows to see if she snuck in any of those.....how sad is this????

I counted 11 Judy's then saw this...

I missed the mustard art Judy! :headache:

All well, I'm late to the game anyway! :sad2:

Nobody said this was easy! You racked up a few wins earlier, I remember.

Fantastic update!!! What a VERY fun night! Free food always makes everyone happy. I think it's great that they just did the vendors versus a buffet - a buffet is always hard to get what you want/has to close, etc. Plus, it probably costs more for PChef/Disney.

That's what I was thinking -- that going with the vendors was probably a cheaper option, and I was fine with it.

I laughed out loud at your preparing for TSM routine, including the head to belly bump! :lmao:

There may have been a weee bit of exaggeration in there.

Looking forward to Idol!

It'll be good!

Sorry it that was misleading! I was just covertly criticizing my sister for not writing any PR updates for months (at least it feels like months). We have not covered it yet in our TR and I guess it will take us moths to get there... But still, I’m not sure about telling you now, we might loose you as a reader ;)

Okay, I'm all for covert criticism of siblings! I feel better knowing that I hadn't forgotten something from your TR.

No, you won't lose me as a reader. I'm in it for the duration. :goodvibes

:rotfl2: Don't think I can do better than that visual!

Glad you liked it. I thought maybe I'd get a couple of other reader suggestions, but no takers yet.

A-HA! I've long wondered for what that gate was used!

Now you know! It shall forever be known as "PChef Gate".

OMG, ALL of these people are PChef folks?! This is huge!

Yup. Well, PChef people and their families.

Shoot, I've never seen an amount due of "0" at WDW, lol!

Come to think of it, neither have I. Maybe I should frame those receipts.

Definitely a possibility. ;)

Unfortunately, a strong possibility.

Wow, I am finally back to catch up on this latest update! :rolleyes1

That's okay, I know I am behind on "Little Guys'" adventures too. I need to get over to your TR.

I cannot believe all the people in line to leave! At least you weren't at the back of the line!

I have a feeling that was only the middle of the line, way in the back of that picture.

So neat you got to go in a "secret" way. I've always wondered what was behind the gates over by RnRC! Now I'll always think of you when I see them.

Okay, forget what I wrote to Princess V. This gate shall henceforth always be called "Glennbo Gate".

I'm sure someone has already asked this, but was DHS only open to PChef people that night? Because the crowds sure look crazy!

Yessiree, it was a PChef-exclusive event. They're all PChef consultants who earned the trip and their families.

25 minutes to go from Idol, ride ToT, then make it back?! That has to be a record! :thumbsup2

I'm trying to get the folks at Guiness to add it, maybe if we inundate them with mail.

Great update Glennbo!

Always cool to get a little backstage magic going on.

Sounds like you had an awesome night. The $0 deal was downright nifty.

Thank you GB! I knew my readership would appreciate some pictures of a seldom-seen Disney parking lot!

It was a fun night! And cheap, can't beat that.

ARRRHHHHH However I recounted and I found 13. If the one after the mustard one( which I did miss thank you very much) has part of Judy's top in the very top left hand corner then it is 13.

Okay, I think I have a way to resolve this.

I am creating a new award, given at my discretion, so it may not be given out after every installment. It will go to the person who can find the minute-est speck of Judy that (may seem to) appear in a picture. So small, that while it's probable that it's part of her, it can't be authenticated with 100% assurance. But it has to be probable, based on other pictures, etc.

It will be called the Fauntleroy award, named after Donald Duck's middle name, not any DISer in particular.

I'm awarding it to Dan for a few chapters ago and his map of who was sitting where around the table. And you Poolrat, for this round.

Good job!

:yay:

Pretty dang sad! I was checking for reflections in those bus windows too, because I knew if I missed one I'd hear about it.

:rotfl2:

I thought this was funny. I was looking at todays Woot (woot.com, where they have daily "deals") and it's a "sleeved blanket". Apparently, they couldn't use the copyrighted name of Snuggie, or whatever it is, so they listed a few other Woot-approved, noms de sloth:

  • Wrapathy
  • I Can’t Believe It’s Not Just a Blanket With Arm Holes
  • the Surrender Gown
  • Cloak of the Dyslexic Wizard
  • Fleece Birth Control
  • Depression Binky
  • CuddleShroud
  • the Infantilikilt
  • +3 Shawl of Telecommuting
  • OK, You Got Us, It Actually Is Just A Blanket With Arm Holes

I love Woot - I have some Christmas presents stashed under my desk from them, and DH has a whole case of WD-40 no-mess pens. But no "blanket with armholes" :rotfl:

As Long as I beat Marv I'm happy!!!:rotfl2:In future though glen you need to check my work schedule so I have an early start!!!!:lmao: Or at least make sure Marv is working !!!!:rotfl2:

Great night! I love free stuff especially free food. And you also got a chance to ride the best rides in the park for little or no wait. I would have stood in the line for the bus for a chance at that too.

Hey, I wouldn't have known for sure that one Judy-part was her in the mustard face picture if I hadn't recognized that freckle on her arm!!! :rolleyes1
