The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

I think there are 15 that can be found without magnification...so you might be the winner. It may have to go to arbitration with the International Olympic Committee, but seeing how just a couple of months ago they finally ruled on the Chinese gymnasts from the Sydney Olympics (from 2000!), we may not have a definitive answer for some time.

So tell me (and remember that your answer may help the arbitration committee with their decision), which "Judy" did you find that was a little trickier, that Liesa and Marvin must have missed?

I'm very happy to report that we've heard back from the ruling committee and they have determined that the points for this round shall be equally split among:

Brook (for being first to guess 15)
Magdalene (for providing the first description of the "elusive" Judy)
Poolrat (for providing such a thorough listing of the 15 Judy sightings)

The "elusive" one that I think Liesa and Marvin missed, was number 12. Judy is along the left edge of the photo.

I wasn't on all weekend, so I missed your original reply to me Glenn, but the "elusive Judy #12" is the one I had counted to get to 15 Judy's. I missed the teeny Judy's in the banquet hall and at MK. Your ruling is fair, I'll take it! ;)

And that is NUTS about the Olympics just ruling on something from the year 2000!

Okay... I can't believe how much I enjoyed reading about your travels!! So much fun! Although, since I read it all at once, and my son was "needing" the computer, it wasn't quite peaceful! :) But hey... chaos if healthy, right? :) And I was able to appease him with little quips of your tales.

Thanks so much for sharing!! :)

Very cool EMH! That is so awesome to have the park opened two hours early for the PChef'rs. Those red shirts are, well, REALLY RED! I hope nobody threw them in with their whites by accident!

Glad you got to ride space mountain so early. Great ride pics! Sorry James opted out. I hope he decides to ride before the trip is over.

Little aside story - my DH's company picnic was at Dorney Park on Sunday. I mention this cause I know you know where it is. We invited a neighbor to go with us. He is 15 and has never ridden a roller coaster. :scared1: (I did not know this until we got there). We broke him in good. Now he is a monster! He was riding everything. It's all a matter of the timing being right!

Looking forward to Epcot!

:scared1: Lord help anyone who loses a red-shirted kid in that crowd! :rotfl:

Oh, this picture can give you a sense of one of Marlene’s hidden talents. Without speaking a word, she can do an awesome impression of Violet Parr (the daughter on “The Incredibles”). She just hangs her hair in front of half her face, and she looks exactly like her.
Too funny - I saw the pic before reading this and thought "Hey look, Violet!"

I must say, it was kind of fun to see the look on these peoples’ faces as we left the park. They thought they were first at rope-drop and here we were leaving because we’d already ridden all the rides (okay, maybe it was only two) and gotten our fill.
Hmm, maybe I'm bad, too - because I'd totally revel in that situation!

OMG, never mind losing your kid on main street, I could lose them at breakfast in that sea of red. It would have stressed me out, seriously.

Astro Orbitor. I have to say, this is the one ride, the entire trip that freaked me out. Could.not.stand.it.

Had never been on it before. Never will go again. Shhhhhh don't tell the kids.

We had kids pulling the wuss card big time on this trip as well. Some more so than others.

Hyperspace hoopla looked like some crushingly good fun!

Hey Glenn, just catching up. Love the pics of the sea of red shirts on main street. Also, your pics of the Baltimore aquarium were fantastic! Looks like a really neat place to visit.

I have to agree with your assessment of Coronado Springs, by the way.

I think your points ruling is very fair!! :thumbsup2 Finding the elusive Judy I had at first the same problem as Marvin thinking that these dark frames aren't Judy's. But then I remembered that she did not wear any glasses on the Space Mountain picture, because at first I did not recognize her there. And this made me hunt for the sun glasses which I suspected she did wear. And as Marvin pointed out they can be seen in the photopass pics.

This was really a fun update for that game. So far I always used Judy's clothes to find her, but of course that did not work. I am very impressed that everyone really did wear those t-shirts!

Hey gang. Sorry I`ve been absent for a while. I`m travelling this week and can`t get on the internet from the hotel and am in meetings all day. I`m attempting this post from my phone and that hasn`t gone well in the past. I hope to reply to all of your wonderful comments later this week.

Booooooo! I mean...Have a great trip Glennbo!

Hey Glennbo! Nifty update my friend. The quote I cracked up the most over was the caption of your Space Mountain photo. I had visions of you whipping a air chamber out of the backpack and filling it with ping pong balls.

Thanks GB!

That’s exactly how the lottery was conducted. I figured that was easier than me having to read thousands of essays sent in by adoring fans.

I was also grinning at the vision of you casually strolling out of the park as the masses pondered what stroke of evil genius you had invoked to secure a private entry.

Looking forward to more.

Oh, and who's Judy?

First Lady Glennbo!

i like the clear eyes commercial ben stine does better.

Ben Stine’s great. Anyone….anyone…

I saw that one - but that Judy was wearing sunglasses and I didn't see another picture of her in sunglasses so I ruled it out.

Sorry that the sunglasses tripped you up too. It was unintentional. Heck, all of this was unintentional – we made the game up after the TR was underway.

I saw your 3 kids in that picture on Main Street and didn't see a possible Judy anywhere so I thought maybe she was hanging back with you. I did learn that the trick to finding Judy is to look for the kids though. Maybe I will get a point in this game before the trip ends.....

Good for you for seeing the kids in that Main Street picture. You were on the right track.

That reminds me a conversation I had with a guy at Magic Kingdom "a few" years ago... he was astonished that me and my family had been in the park since it opened. "But why would you want to wake up so early when you are on vacation... is time to relax!" and my answer was "Why would you want to sleep in when you are in WDW? It's time to have fun!"... hehehe! No you can't tell people what to do :rotfl:

Right. Go to the beach if you want to relax.

Tribilín;37933940 said:
Oh I'm so proud of you

That reminds me – you were proud of James in my TR last year for skipping on meeting characters so he could go after food, correct?

Tribilín;37933940 said:
Hahaha! As you said before.. you can't really anticipate what will scare kids... I'm glad James decided to ride something "thrill-ish" :rotfl:

I know…go figure.

Tribilín;37933940 said:
WOW! Awesome pictures! :thumbsup2 I've heard the "new" Space Mountain is smoother than before the refurbishment ... I can't wait to try it by myself!

Thanks. I thought it was a lot of fun.

Tribilín;37933940 said:
Awwww! I'm again too late to participate in the game... congrats to all the winners!

Some day Trib, you’ll catch it at just the right time.

That works on photos too???:confused3
I don't think that speedo at the Kidani pool counts...:scared1:
The things we sacrifice for our sons.... ;)

Oh yeah, sure. I’m going to ignore the speedo comment.

See, it wasn't just me who was that observant! :thumbsup2
Oh, go ahead and give her a point for noticing the sunglass thing. I bet if they were honest, all of those who just guessed it was part of Judy in the picture (and got points) didn't even notice that very significant discrepancy!!! :rotfl2:

The Great Oz has spoken!

Suh-weet my friend. I would have been all over that.

I know you would have.

Wow, your memory is impressive.

I owe it all to clean livin’ and…what was the question?

They do look thrilled! Are they fans of your TR? Are they also part of your Glennbo Groupies?

Well sure, now they are.

You know, that totally depends on your situation. Remember that Twilight Zone episode where the guys had all that gold but they were in the desert? And the one guy had water but the other guy didn't, so he kept having to buy another drink of water? See, in that circumstance, water is MUCH more valuable. So consider yourself rich indeed.

I kinda remember that episode. You’ve got a point there. I think you’re telling me I should have set up a little vending area.

Gracias.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I knew it !!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Never thought we’d see the day, did we?

I know now you were not the only one to state the sunglasses as the reason to elimiate the "sunglasses" Judy from the find Judy game.

I find it amazing that people are paying attention that closely.

For the record, I did look in the crowd on Main street for Judy but all that red my eyes crossed and now they are stuck that way.

I tried in the ballroom too but I was looking around the immediate area more than the masses.

Please -- it’s not worth going blind over. (But we would like to see pics of your permanent cross-eyed look.)

Great update! Red is my least color to wear!
It was a little rude of your friends to keep you waiting for them at breakfast when you just wanted to get to MK. Oh well, whatareya gonna do? ;)

Thanks orange. I agree with you completely – both on the “little rude” sentiment and on the “whatareya gonna do?” attitude to sum it all up.

I got a short note from Jordan. He seems fine and sounds like he's doing good.

Thanks for letting me know. I need to drop him a line.

;) JK of course!

I thought so.

I wasn't on all weekend, so I missed your original reply to me Glenn, but the "elusive Judy #12" is the one I had counted to get to 15 Judy's. I missed the teeny Judy's in the banquet hall and at MK. Your ruling is fair, I'll take it! ;)

I figured you had found “elusive Judy #12”.

And that is NUTS about the Olympics just ruling on something from the year 2000!

It was on the underage Chinese gymnasts. In their (the IOC’s) defense, I think the Chinese government was less than forthcoming.

Okay... I can't believe how much I enjoyed reading about your travels!! So much fun! Although, since I read it all at once, and my son was "needing" the computer, it wasn't quite peaceful! :) But hey... chaos if healthy, right? :) And I was able to appease him with little quips of your tales.

:welcome: sara98629! Thanks for the kind words! I certainly know about kids “needing” the computer. My daughters now are on facebook and e-mail, so they intrude on my DISing time. You were able to appease a teenager with quips from my tales? Gee whiz, that’s saying something!

Very cool EMH! That is so awesome to have the park opened two hours early for the PChef'rs. Those red shirts are, well, REALLY RED! I hope nobody threw them in with their whites by accident!

It was a good morning (and we haven’t even hit 9 o’clock yet). I hadn’t thought about the laundering of those shirts – I guess we made it through without incident.

Glad you got to ride space mountain so early. Great ride pics! Sorry James opted out. I hope he decides to ride before the trip is over.

Thanks. Regarding James – you will find out before this TR is done.

Little aside story - my DH's company picnic was at Dorney Park on Sunday. I mention this cause I know you know where it is. We invited a neighbor to go with us. Yep, I’m familiar with Dorney Park. I haven’t been there in eons though. That’s great that you could turn your neighbor on to roller coasters! Exactly right on the timing being important.

now thats messed up

:welcome: jshuff1! Good to hear from you, but of all the messed up things we’ve discussed on here, which one were you referring to?

:scared1: Lord help anyone who loses a red-shirted kid in that crowd! :rotfl:

I’m sure all the moms with young kids needed to pay close attention to their kiddos’ whereabouts.

Too funny - I saw the pic before reading this and thought "Hey look, Violet!"

That’s funny. I’m sure she wasn’t intentionally trying to look like Violet at that moment – she didn’t even know that her picture would be taken.

Hmm, maybe I'm bad, too - because I'd totally revel in that situation!

I feel better now that you said that V! I’m sure it’s human nature.

OMG, never mind losing your kid on main street, I could lose them at breakfast in that sea of red. It would have stressed me out, seriously.

You don’t have the word “mom” in your screen name for nothing.

Astro Orbitor. I have to say, this is the one ride, the entire trip that freaked me out. Could.not.stand.it.

Had never been on it before. Never will go again. Shhhhhh don't tell the kids.

I’d have gone on it if he needed me to, but since Marlene went I was happy to sit it out!

We had kids pulling the wuss card big time on this trip as well. Some more so than others.

Hyperspace hoopla looked like some crushingly good fun!

Oh boy. After the success they had on California Screamin’ too. Oh well.

I really enjoyed Hyperspace Hoopla.

There is some fierce competition on the Judy sightings.:lmao:

I know! It’s cracking me up.

Hey Glenn, just catching up. Love the pics of the sea of red shirts on main street. Also, your pics of the Baltimore aquarium were fantastic! Looks like a really neat place to visit.

Hi Rebecca. Thanks for the compliment on the pictures.

I think your points ruling is very fair!! :thumbsup2 Finding the elusive Judy I had at first the same problem as Marvin thinking that these dark frames aren't Judy's. Very good detective work Magdalene! You have a sharp eye.

This was an especially good round. When we started this game I didn’t think about this red-shirt day and how good it would be for the game, but when I was writing this chapter of the TR I knew it would be a fun one.

Booooooo! I mean...Have a great trip Glennbo!

Ditto! LOL!

Thanks. So far, so good.

Posting from a phone myself, I Know what you mean!! Enjoy your trip! :)

I’m in a different hotel tonight and have internet access! Hey, it was a major accomplishment just to get those few sentences posted from my phone. Replies (especially as many as I needed to do) were out of the question.
