The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

That is so TERRIBLE about the Fastpass, not really a fastpass though, but that is so confusing, it shouldn't say fastpass at the top if it isn't really a fastpass. So sad James didn't get to meet that guy (sorry I don't know the star wars people  I mean I've seen the movies, but that's it).

Your daughter wearing green is so animated in her facial expressions. LOVE it. :):thumbsup2

The streetmosphere people look like so much fun.:lmao: Free wine (whine) :lmao:

3 fastpasses in your pocket, :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Can't wait to see what's next

p.s. thanks for allowing me to copy a few of your sci-fi atmosphere photos for Jacks picture schedule :)

Great update Glenn. I love the Streetmosphere people. It is always a great show and I love the reactions of people around them!

Can't wait to see how many FP you can rack up in a day.

I am guessing you did not go back during the next time slot to see if you could get an autograph? If there was a pen for the real Fastpass, a second pen for the stand by not a fastpass fastpass, was there a third pen if you had no fastpass???

Haha...I love Streetmosphere. And I loved the free "whine" samples. :rotfl:

We almost moved back in 1999 to the mushroom capital (for the life of me I can't remember the city's name.) But it fell through, so we didn't. It sure did smell...

Poor James. My heart goes out to him. I hate it when my child is disappointed and I can't do anything about it. But he did recover pretty quickly.

Good job with the fps!:thumbsup2

I love all the streetmosphere interaction. I could sit and watch them all day, but DH has no patience for it. You sure got lots of compliments! Maybe if they did that to him he would have more patience. I think he has stage fright and thinks they might call him out. The girls and I would love the attention.

Great pictures with the big hat.

7- 7 pictures of that lovely bride of yours! (I hope)

Poor James, that stinks he couldn't see one of the ones he was most looking forward to!

Yes!! Yes, I think my wife WOULD like more Vanilla Coke. I'm sure you let her accept it from Missy. :rotfl2: You sound like me.

Sounds like waiting to see a Star Wars character is a license to shop to me. Go, girls, go.

Great title- fits perfectly!!

I'm sorry James didn't get to meet James Taylor. That holding pen looked worse than than the dionaga's garbage masher. At least it wasn't Ewan McGregor. Now that would have been a BIG disapointment. I guess you can count your blessings that you got to see Chewie with little wait then!

My you all seem a bit flushed in your pictures! That asphalt and the humidity are a potent combination. We have very few pictures of the family posing during the day because it would have required us to stand in the sun trying to look happy! :rotfl:

I hadn't seen those streetmosphere characters before. They looked like a lot of fun but you can't pay me to sit out there in the sun like that. Wait. I paid Disney to do that...

Awesome update. How did you end up withy so many fast passes and not using them right away? The photopass pics are great. And I love the Streetmosphere people -- they are always a hoot.

Just hadn't used them yet. Even though they have a time window on them for when you're supposed to return, official Disney policy (according to another website that I trust) is to accept them any time that day after the fastpass return time. In other words, they won't turn you away if you try to use your fastpass after your window has closed. So, you can collect them all day and use them at night if you want to. I've never had a problem returning after the window times.

Coming out of Lurkdom to say hey and great job...all your tr's are great. keep em coming, I need something to do while at work.

:welcome: jillybeene71! Hey! And thanks! Glad my TRs are being put to good use. I expect to see a rise in the GDP any day now!

I would love it !!The smell would be nothing I grew up in a town that had a sugarbeet factory that on a warm day and the wind in the wrong direction was Pewey !!!:lmao:Then there was a Brewery in town and let me tell you HOPS do not smell good !!!:lmao:ANNNNNDD just outside the town was a Bacon Factory that STUNK !!!!We also had a mushroom farm close by but I think it's smell was lost with the others :lmao::lmao:

Sounds like you could tell which way the wind was blowing, and therefore the weather, by what smell you had on any given day.

I will tuck that gem away for a really hot day! :thumbsup2

I remember that too!!!!

Wish I'd have thought of it later in the day that I'm reporting right now.

It would have been nice if the CMs had mentioned it when I got them. At least then I'd have known.

Your daughter wearing green is so animated in her facial expressions. LOVE it. :):thumbsup2

Thanks!

The streetmosphere people look like so much fun.:lmao: Free wine (whine) :lmao:

They were a hoot!

Can't wait to see what's next

Thanks.

p.s. thanks for allowing me to copy a few of your sci-fi atmosphere photos for Jacks picture schedule

You are very welcome.

Great update Glenn. I love the Streetmosphere people. It is always a great show and I love the reactions of people around them!

Thank you. We really had a lot of fun with the Streetmosphere people that day.

Can't wait to see how many FP you can rack up in a day.

I think we gave other people a chance to get a few after that.

I am guessing you did not go back during the next time slot to see if you could get an autograph? If there was a pen for the real Fastpass, a second pen for the stand by not a fastpass fastpass, was there a third pen if you had no fastpass???

No, we didn't attempt anymore autographs. That was twice that we'd stopped for that guy...he doesn't get any more chances to give me his autograph.

Nope, no pen for no fastpass! Unless you count the whole rest of the park?

Haha...I love Streetmosphere. And I loved the free "whine" samples.

It was fun when they moved on from the "canned" ones they had to teasing James about his uncombed hair.

We almost moved back in 1999 to the mushroom capital (for the life of me I can't remember the city's name.) But it fell through, so we didn't. It sure did smell...

Kennett Square calls itself the capital, but we're in a nearby town.

Poor James. My heart goes out to him. I hate it when my child is disappointed and I can't do anything about it. But he did recover pretty quickly.

I know. I wasn't sure if maybe there were a lot of people right at 1pm, and after they cleared out we'd get a chance...but they seemed to keep coming.

Good job with the fps!:thumbsup2

Work the system!

I love all the streetmosphere interaction. I could sit and watch them all day, but DH has no patience for it. You sure got lots of compliments! Maybe if they did that to him he would have more patience. I think he has stage fright and thinks they might call him out. The girls and I would love the attention.

They really make it fun, and they're one of those things that make each visit different. If you just go from ride to ride, after a while you have "done everything".

I guess I wasn't worried about being called out because when we happened upon them no one else was around, so we were just talking. It wasn't like being a "volunteer" called up on stage.

Great pictures with the big hat.

Thank you!

7- 7 pictures of that lovely bride of yours! (I hope)

Yep! A new winner for this round!

Poor James, that stinks he couldn't see one of the ones he was most looking forward to!

Yeah, well maybe it was some kind of life-lesson? :confused3

Yes!! Yes, I think my wife WOULD like more Vanilla Coke. I'm sure you let her accept it from Missy. :rotfl2: You sound like me.

You don't think it was too obvious who really wanted that Vanilla Coke, do you?

Sounds like waiting to see a Star Wars character is a license to shop to me. Go, girls, go.

What isn't?

Great title- fits perfectly!!

Thank you. Wish I'd have given it a little more thought before I finished the prior chapter, but it's a little hard to think that far ahead.

I'm sorry James didn't get to meet James Taylor. That holding pen looked worse than than the dionaga's garbage masher.

I had a bad feeling about it. "R2! Shut down all the people pens on the detention level! Shut down all the people pens on the detention level!"

At least it wasn't Ewan McGregor. Now that would have been a BIG disapointment. I guess you can count your blessings that you got to see Chewie with little wait then!

I think Ewan's star's going to have to fall a little bit before we see him signing autographs at SWW.

I definitely was counting my blessings re. the Chewie autograph when I realized how the system worked and what type of fastpass I had.

My you all seem a bit flushed in your pictures! That asphalt and the humidity are a potent combination. We have very few pictures of the family posing during the day because it would have required us to stand in the sun trying to look happy!

Oh man, it was hot and we were just getting to the hottest part of the day. We have some squinting fastpass pictures coming up later in the TR.

I hadn't seen those streetmosphere characters before.

I hadn't seen those particular streetmosphere people before either. They were a lot of fun.

They looked like a lot of fun but you can't pay me to sit out there in the sun like that. Wait. I paid Disney to do that...

Here is my famous encounter with the Street actors!!!

100_0203.jpg

Just read your last two updates. Judy's lunch looked really really good but I would agree that it wouldn't be enough for a lunch if you were hungry. I love that dip though!

Sci Fi looks really cool, I have never been.

I'm so sorry for your son not being able to get that autograph but glad he wasn't too upset over it. I think the tears would have put my in a little tizzy myself.

The street performers are the best aren't they - they looked hilarious.

Oooh, I didn't realize counting Judy's pictures was a game. I'm in! I too counted 7, but I see Liesa already won...

Can I get a "good effort" prize? ;)

I feel so bad for James! How sad!!! Seriously, I was just waiting for the pixie dust of someone in the "real" line seeing the crying child and handing over their FP's. :sad1: Or SOMETHING! Poor little dude.

The "free wine samples" is HILARIOUS!! Very clever. And I do believe that woman was sweet on you...!

THIS IS AWESOME!!!! :rotfl2:

Oh, poor James not getting to meet his celebrity. That stinks! I still think that they should have let you guys go. I mean, you were like the only ones in the stand-by pen. It would have been fair to let you go. But that's my opinion. It doesn't count for much!

You had me laughing so much when you described your encounter with the street actors. :rotfl: I could just picture their voices and demeanor so well. You did a good job of explaining the banter!!!

Just hadn't used them yet. I did not know that. I learned something new today. I'll have to remember this for our trip in case I want to get FP's for the rides Mark can't do this trip.

i have a solution to your stand by line..go over to the rope of the other line, drop something on the ground bend ove to pick it up and then when you stand back up you stand back up on the other side of the rope...works everytime.
:thumbsup2

Great update but what a huge bummer about a standby autograph line. Poor James! Some really great family pics there, both from your camera and the PP guys. Love the streetmosphere interaction, those are some of my favorite moments from our last trip.

Hey Darth Vader dude looks like Conan O'Brian.
It stinks that you guys didn't get the autograph that James wanted, but soon after he got to have a private amusing chat with the guy in the white car & was smiling so it looks like it didn't ruin his day.:thumbsup2
Love, love, love the streetmosphere actors. They are so much fun!!!! I cant
believe "Liza" wasn't melting under all those clothes in that sun!

I had forgotten about that! That is so funny!

Just read your last two updates. Judy's lunch looked really really good but I would agree that it wouldn't be enough for a lunch if you were hungry. I love that dip though!

Sci Fi looks really cool, I have never been.

Yeah, she was still a little hungry. If you read some of the banter between the chapters, most people posting on here agreed that the ambience of Sci-Fi is really cool, but the food not so much. Need to stick with a burger or maybe a reuben, pretty much.

I'm so sorry for your son not being able to get that autograph but glad he wasn't too upset over it. I think the tears would have put my in a little tizzy myself.

He didn't stay upset for too long. It's Disney -- there were plenty of other things to divert his attention to! Such as....

The street performers are the best aren't they - they looked hilarious.

Yes, they were great. We had so much fun with them.

Oooh, I didn't realize counting Judy's pictures was a game. I'm in! I too counted 7, but I see Liesa already won...

It's an unofficial little game that started after the Pepper Market chapter when we saw Judy in the lunch crowd. It's kind of funny when they are pictures of Judy.

Can I get a "good effort" prize? ;)

Sure, I always like an opportunity to dig out this smiley:

Good job!

I feel so bad for James! How sad!!! Seriously, I was just waiting for the pixie dust of someone in the "real" line seeing the crying child and handing over their FP's. :sad1: Or SOMETHING! Poor little dude.

At Star Wars Weekends, it's every jedi for himself.

The "free wine samples" is HILARIOUS!! Very clever. And I do believe that woman was sweet on you...!

I think so too. You can see how she was about ready to leap out of that car.

Oh, poor James not getting to meet his celebrity. That stinks! I still think that they should have let you guys go. I mean, you were like the only ones in the stand-by pen. It would have been fair to let you go. But that's my opinion. It doesn't count for much!

I know, but that's the system to make sure that the people who were there super-early in the morning get their guaranteed autograph, so I can't argue with that.

You had me laughing so much when you described your encounter with the street actors. :rotfl: I could just picture their voices and demeanor so well. You did a good job of explaining the banter!!!

Thanks! I had to jot down a few of the lines in my notes that night so that I could remember what they said.

I did not know that. I learned something new today. I'll have to remember this for our trip in case I want to get FP's for the rides Mark can't do this trip.

:) That's great, glad I could be of service! We also always get fastpasses for everyone in our party, even if some people don't plan on riding. That way maybe someone can go twice, or we can give some away to other park guests.

i have a solution to your stand by line..go over to the rope of the other line, drop something on the ground bend ove to pick it up and then when you stand back up you stand back up on the other side of the rope...works everytime.
:thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

The CM "guards" were right there. I'm sure they would've been like,

"do you think we don't see you?"

Great update but what a huge bummer about a standby autograph line. Poor James! Some really great family pics there, both from your camera and the PP guys. Love the streetmosphere interaction, those are some of my favorite moments from our last trip.

Thanks! Don't worry about James, he was fine within minutes.

I thought the pics from my camera were pretty similar to the photopass ones. You can tell theirs used a flash though.

The streetmosphere people are so much fun, as long as you make the time to stop and "play" with them.

Hey Darth Vader dude looks like Conan O'Brian.

You are right! I knew he looked like someone, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

I know...I was surprised that Liza's makeup didn't run or get blotchy or whatever happens to makeup in the heat.

Yep! A new winner for this round!

Boom Baby!:cool1:

Yeah, well maybe it was some kind of life-lesson? :confused3

Probably...

You don't think it was too obvious who really wanted that Vanilla Coke, do you?

Nah. Not too much.

What isn't?

Very little comes to mind. Except when we're talking. Oh wait, we're pretty good multi- taskers. :lmao:

Thank you. Wish I'd have given it a little more thought before I finished the prior chapter, but it's a little hard to think that far ahead.

Know whatcha mean. I can hardly think about dinner most nights. :rotfl2:

Loved your update! What great interaction with the Streetsmophere people! I probably would have stood there and looked confused when they started whining- I'm so gullible!

Boom Baby!:cool1:

Was this your first win?

Nah. Not too much.

Oh good, I was afraid I was too obvious.

Very little comes to mind. Except when we're talking. Oh wait, we're pretty good multi- taskers. :lmao:

Oh yeah, ladies can talk and shop at the same time, no prob.

Know whatcha mean. I can hardly think about dinner most nights. :rotfl2:

When I think about dinner I say, "honey, what's for dinner?" :rolleyes1

Loved your update! What great interaction with the Streetsmophere people! I probably would have stood there and looked confused when they started whining- I'm so gullible!

Thanks! It was a fun part of the day.

I'll admit, for a millisecond I thought, "I'm gonna get free wine?!"
