The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

I hope she gets it figured out....we like pictures!

I'm gonna try - cross your fingers

If this worked - this is my youngest son (Mark) on his 16th birthday with his first love!

Seems to have worked :cool1: Is there an easier way? What I did was go in to Photo Bucket. Pick out which picture I wanted, copied and pasted 3 different codes to see which one actually turned into a picture instead of a line of gibberish :rolleyes1. Is there a quicker one-click step? The easier the better.....

Oh yes, growing up in an area where a lot of seafood, and especially shrimp can be purchased right off the boats, we are well versed in de-poopers. :woohoo: It is actually called a de-veiner around these parts. It is curved and gets smaller towards the end. You slide it under the shell along the back of the shrimp (where the vein is, opposite side of the legs) towards the end of the tail and it not only de-poops the shrimp, but also removes the shell in one easy motion. :thumbsup2 Makes quick work of getting the shrimp ready for what is important.......the consumption!

I need to get one of those! I don't buy shrimp very often because I hate the chore of de-veining.

WHAT?!? They make a de-pooper??? I always do it with a knife and my fingers! I must find one!

Buy them deveined !!!!! Or eat poop!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's just like Marv said. The one that Judy broke, she bought in the grocery store when we lived in Wilmington NC. Here in PA, where you can't buy shrimp along the roadside, you can't find them in the grocery store. But she found one at a seafood market.

:yay: It worked!

The way I do it is I have the DIS in one window and Photobucket in another. When I'm making a post on the DIS, I click on the "Insert Image" button (looks like a mountain range) and then go over to my window with Photobucket. There, I click on the picture I want, select the "direct link" gobbledygook, do a Control-C for copy, Alt-tab to get back to my insert image window, Control-V to paste the gobbledygook, and click okay or enter or whatever it is at that point.

When I'm writing a chapter update (which I do in Word first, before copying it into a DIS reply window), I just copy all of that coding for a picture from a previous chapter and update it with the correct picture number.

The mountain thingy :headache: I knew there was an easier way to do it. I had put some in before a couple years ago.

I have 2 years of of photopass pics loaded into PB. I may try to do a pictoral history of trips (as opposed to a trip report) but will need to get our pics on my computer first.

Thanks for the help!

Glad I hit upon the right thing. I wasn't sure, not being able to see what you were doing.

When you put up your HoT (I think you just created a new acronym), let us know.

You're very welcome.

This is a GREAT picture!!!!!!!!!!

You're right -- a good one to practice with.

Great picture Tanya! It's nice to put a name to a face.

We need a Tanya pic now.

Do you really want to know? You may have eaten your last shrimp.

Okay, since you're still reading. What they call the "vein" in a shrimp is actually part of the critter's digestive tract. Whether it's in your shrimp cocktail depends upon whether the shrimp was de-veined or not.

I'll eat 'em with the vein in. I figure we all eat X amount of dirt in our lifetimes, might as well get started. My wife (and Winkers) can't handle the thought of it.

:headache:

Glen, just stopping in to say hello. I've only been hitting up the thread with updates as I've got to get ready for my trip in two days. Hope you are having a great week; obviously you are busy since there is no update! :rotfl2:

Yay! I'm UTD. We were dealing with some sewer stuff around the house last week (I wish it were shrimp poop!). I was a couple of updates behind so I had to cheat and use the links and skip most of the commenting, so if I repeat what anyone else said, I apologize.

Speaking of shrimp poop, am I the only one wondering if Pampered Chef makes a deveiner?

Great photo inside of Buzz. Nice that the ride stopped for you so you could shoot pictures instead of Evil Emporer Zurg. I don't really care about shooting or points, so I try to take (non-flash) pictures but I don't get good results.

Thanks for sharing your little detour from Main Street. I've never been down that alley.

LOVED the guest storytellers. Your daughters have great writing talent, in addition to their singing skills.

Does it being in PINK make you feel any better about it Dan???:rotfl2:

Good thing I've been on your thread, so I understand this.

touche my friend touche

( i hope thats spelled right)

Oh NOW you're gonna start worrying about spelling??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's what I was thinking. All of a sudden he's worried about his spelling.

::yes::
well i wanted to make sure you knew what word i was trying to type.

We're becoming more fluent in reading "Dan". Or is it "Faunt font".

Hi Kathy! I know, I saw you rubbing it in on Marv's thread. Sorry, it's been a little hectic.

Glad the links are being put to use. :thumbsup2

Sorry about the sewer stuff you're dealing with. Doesn't sound like fun.

Nope.

Thanks. A few people commented on that photo, which took me by surprise. I hadn't thought too much about it.

You're welcome. It's good for a 60 second diversion.

Thanks, I just told them last night how I had spliced their two write-ups together (they wrote them separately, and neither read the other's.), and that they had lots of positive feedback on the DIS. Thanks for the compliment.
