The Midwest

there's a really big concert that happens a few miles from my hometown every summer, and people from all over the country come to it, and think they can handle the heat and laugh at us when we warn them, but when they're in the mud for three days in 110-115 with 80-90% humidity, they tend to think otherwise. haha.

Uhm, yeah. Remind me NEVER to move to where you live.

I thought California was fine, to be quite honest. :confused3 It was the beginning of August too. Philly was all hot and muggy at 4am, but at 11am LA was nice and breezy. It was like 75ish and not too humid, and it stayed like that for the rest of the week. Maybe we got a cold week or something? I know in Temecula it was getting up to 100 though so it probably depends on how far inland you are.

Frankly, I'm just sick of the heat. I want the true seasons! And its for grad school, sorry, probably should have mentioned that.

I was thinking of st. louis. They have 2 schools there, Wash U and SLU which both have med schools. I know that Wash U is more hoity toity (sp?) but their hospital Barnes has an awesome reputation.

The other place is University of Missouri in Columbia i think.

I had a friend who moved to AZ from Clayton, MO, but I lost contact with her. :(

one of my best friends goes to SLU.
she really likes it there.
and my other friend goes to mizzou in columbia.
but WashU is VERY snooty.
i'm going on the cheap side and attending a state school.
SEMO, otherwise known as southeast missouri state, is my number one choice and proabably is when i'll end up going.
but nothing is set in stone.

Hmm, the last time I visited Nashville was in march. Maybe I should go in the summer...lol.
But I had a long talk with my dad about it on the phone today and he said to focus more on the school itself versus where it is and what the weather is like. I really just want to get out of AZ.

But dbf could get a job anywhere (mostly), but I'm sure we're going to get married at some point. I have no idea when that will be though! So thats another thing that will complicate it.
He also started at the U as a 2nd semester freshman, so he'll be done at the same time as me (hopefully as long as everything goes well). The ideal time will be next May (2011) or so. He and I would both be 22....

Ok done rambling.

You got lucky that week XD Usually in LA during the summer, it's around 100 degrees.

Really? It was a good week though, DLR wasn't too busy. The weather at USO just about killed me, I got heat stroke. (I was already on edge by then, and I'm pretty prone to heat stroke anyway. ) I tried to get my parents to take me to San Diego but they said no.

My friend lives right outside of San Fran, and she said it's not unusual to be 75 and have light snow on the ground. WEIRD.

If I could, I would move to California in a heartbeat. I don't really fit in with the WC crowd, but idc. We were trying to get there this next summer, but family in Spain trumps Cali. :headache:

I live near San Francisco and the weather can be pretty weird there XD The weather here is pretty normal though. It's not like we freeze during the winter, but it does tend to get unbearably hot during the summer.

i've never thought that cali was too unbearable. i think az is worse! you all have the ocean to cool things off.
