Let me start off by saying that this is a little late but I have been very busy with well, life lol. Anyway, this was only my second time at Walt Disney World but I didnt have a good time. Some parts were fun but not very many! We decided to go against everyones advice and still go during POP Warner week. BIG MISTAKE! Never again! For one, I was walking and a cheerleader smacked me in the face as she did cheers in the middle of the street. She turned to me and told me to watch where I was going! Her parent or guardian laughed and continued on their way. I saw alot of groups of 10+ kids and one or 2 adults. The adults that I did see didnt care much about what the kids were doing. Now I am NOT by any means saying that ALL POP Warner kids/adults dont care or are rude, just the ones I came across.

We were going to WDW to see the Christmas lights. It was an early birthday present!

When: December 2nd-December 5th

We arrived on December 2nd about 4pm and checked in to Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. I have to admit the the Poly has my heart but this resort is a very close 2nd AND our home resort lol we cant afford the Poly every trip ;)

We stayed in Oak Manor and I loved it. Close to the bus depot's and the main lobby. We walked around a little bit but this was a short trip so not too much down time. We had to catch the bus to MK for MVMCP that night

This was our first MVMCP and we liked it. We had tickets to the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party, LOOOOOVED that!!! I would definately do it again!
Here are pics of the desserts and since we were a party of 2, we had front row seats! It was chilly though lol

The castle was beautiful!

We left a little after the firework show. We were tired from traveling. Note to self: NEVER SCHEDULE A PARK AFTER TRAVELING lol
Satureday: In the morning we went to Epcot

and their tree was pretty, we picked a pearl

which was fun. We went to see the Gingerbread house they had on display

That night we went to DIsney's Hollywood Studios to see the Osbourne lights and have dinner at Sci-Fi. LOVED Sci-fi!!! I would def eat there again. The Osbourne lights were way too crowded and I got run over by a wheelchair. Let me tell you there are some very rude ppl at disney!

I wish we could have stayed longer but it was just too crowded. We did get to see the Indiana Jones show though and ride Tower of Terror! Love that too!

Sunday: We went to Animal Kingdom first.

We did the Jungle Trek and the Safari first thing at rope drop and we saw tons of animals! We ate breakfast at Tusker House. We will be eating there again! We had a great time and loved the characters. Our favorite breakfast by far!

We were supposed to only spend the morning there and go to MK for the rest of the day but ended up spending almost all day there! After that we went to MK and saw this lady

making this, a man said wow do u like doing this-you are good. She said no I have to do this..... some Disney employees could pretend to like their job lol I thought it was neat though. We went over to the Grand Floridian for dinner and we saw the famous Gingerbread house! They were selling candy out of it!

Dinner was at the Grand Floridian Cafe....I highly recommend this place. Oh so good!
Monday we went to DTD for the day before our flight home. I had to take this pic again
525.jpg

I love winnie the pooh and take this pic every time lol
We went by the lego store and saw this
544.jpg

on our way to T-Rex! We had a fun time at T-Rex. It gets bad reviews but I liked it! I will bring the kiddos next time for sure!

We ate next to this little guy.
Then we hurried back to POR to catch the ME to MCO for our flight back to Baltimore (landing was very questionable lol) There were parts of my trip I loved, parts I hated but I will say 2 things, 1. the Christmas decoratiosn, they were far less then expected from Disney and 2. I missed my kids terribly and dont think I will go to Disney again without them til they are older. Disney is a place that I want to take my kids with me and share the memories! Thanks for reading!

sounds like you still had a lot of fun despite the crowds , etc. just curious, where in animal kingdom did you get to pet the little donkey? he's so cute!

We did Rafiki's Planet watch and you take a train to an area where you can look at species of bugs, a petting zoo and a learning area. It was fun. We missed doing it on our first trip there. AK really is a great park! I think the first time we went, we were just too tired to explore it all the way lol

Did you think that T-Rex was too loud? Is it like the Rainforst Cafe where they have period thunder noises or something like it. I was thinking about adding it to our ADR list since it is on the current list of DDP for 2012. The youngest DS doesn't do well with really loud noises, but can handle them better if I can prepare him ahead of time for it.

I'm so sorry you didn't have a good time. I'm curious about T-Rex too. I'm thinking DS would love it, and may add it to our list. I'm starting over my ADRs anyway!

OHHH It was loud lol but we liked it...its more of a meteor shower and every dino roaring at the same time. Not thinder and rain but loud. I am going to plan it though for this upcoming trip. Its cute!
