The Mess that is DL Entertainment Schedule

It actually doesn't show for the rest of the month. Either this show is on a long-term hiatus, or this is just another lapse in the Disneyland Entertainment Calendar.

I sure hope that's not the case. That would not make me very happy to hear 2 weeks out.

Also note that the Christmas parade on 11/17 has been moved to 7:45 PM.

It looks like they've cancelled the 1:15pm show (I think that's what it was) on Monday and Tuesday. They still have early times on Wednesday. And now Thursday is at a weird time and only once.

It's unfortunate that after buying two APs over the past few years, only now do I realize that Disney handles operations worse than the feds.

I know someone in the show, and he said they just haven't decided on the schedule yet - waiting to see how crowds/demand/no-FP system is all shaking out post-Halloween.

Thanks for sharing that. It puts my mind at ease but I'm still annoyed. It's just over a week out.

Is the first part of your post regarding Frozen or the Christmas parade? The Frozen schedule looks the same on the website to me all through next week (1:35pm and 4:00pm). I sure hope they go back to the 4 show day schedule. Can someone point me to the Christmas parade schedule?

I had a WOC book for the 11th. There was a time on the electronic booking system, but not on the normal calendar. They called a few weeks ago and said that the time had changed to an hour later than it was before. Fine with me, but still wonder how hard it is to figure out the schedule.

I was referencing mom2rtk's statement about the Christmas Parade.

As for Frozen live, there still aren't any shows scheduled beyond 11-10. And yes, I hope they do more than just 2 shows a day or it will be chaos trying to see it. Once again, bad calendar issues from Disney. They know it'll be a big show for the next 6 months at least. Just post 4 shows up there and let us see it!

Alas, Frozen is having production issues with its sets and special effects, and some actor issues and availability, so it isn't just the Disney bean counters watching the expenses and trying to limit the amount of shows. Many shows currently have been delayed or cancelled, and in some eyes, that is a worse sin than just not offering them in the first place. (Amount of Guest Relations complaints). It was one of the reasons why the Frozen FP's were discontinued.

Well, isn't that great. They take away Aladdin and give us the live show version of Rocket Rodds. It'll be cancelled soon anyway. Gotta make room for Captain America on Ice.

On the bright side: when I'm there in a few weeks, there'll be plenty of movie trailers to keep me busy (dripping with sarcasm).

I doubt it's going to be cancelled. One of the former Mad T Party performers just posted that they've been cast to be in the show starting early next year. So, it seems that Disney plans to have the show running at least through then.

Makes sense, and it makes me sad to think they haven't figured it out yet! It is a popular show, so they should have enough actors ready

If they go back to having 3 showings of Frozen for the holiday season, does anyone know what times they would most likely show?

So does that mean it won't be running for the rest of this year? Are all cast being set for a start next year? It's just impossible to tell. With the entertainment schedule always a mess, we can't tell if the show's on hiatus for two months, or if they just forgot to post it, or something else.

Why would the Fireworks be at 7:00pm on Sat the 10th and Sunday the 11th of December? The surrounding evenings it is at 9:30. And the park is open to midnight both nights?

I presume to work between the 4 parades planned that weekend, two Christmas Parades and two Paint the Night, and the need for darkness for the fireworks and Paint the Night. Paint the Night isn't offered on the weekdays the week before or after. (It is 7 days a week Thanksgiving week, and the second half of December, where Disney expects very large crowds.

It looks like the schedule is up after 11/11 now-- and they're back up to three shows a day.

I'm a bit relieves, as I had a Frozen dining package booked for 11/11. I was expecting a call any day to cancel it.

Great news! Just checked it myself. And with a whopping 8 days to spare, too :rolleyes2
