Thankfully, at $6.19 in my area for just the sandwich, I won't have to worry about the spouse getting the urge for one. He's gonna look at that price plus fries and tax and faint that he's at $10 without a drink!

I never never order the full meals any more. Just doesn't make any sense. The strange thing about my area is that we've got a $1 "any size" drink promo, although one location includes a 25 cent cup surcharge required by city ordinance. And then I've got the McD's app and I can tap into the $1 large fries.

But I guess I don't have to deal with $6 for it. I looked it up and found that it's $4.69 at my closest location. I know some areas just deal with higher prices like NYC, and of course some franchise owners jack up the price for prime locations. I've been to the one across from Disneyland, and those prices are consistently higher than a location that I could drive to in 5 minutes. They're obviously serving customers walking from Disneyland. But when I've gone there I've taken advantage of the app where my rewards redemptions cost the same and the coupon special are often the same price (or BOGO offers that make it easier on the wallet).

I have to admit they are pretty tasty. McDonalds with the McRib is just like Disney with their classic movies. Bring it back every 10 years, then stash it away for another 10 years.

Amazing how picky we have become. My mom grew up on a farm during the depression. Head cheese was a common food, and that is made from every part of the pig but the squeal. A McRib is gourmet fare in comparison.

I took a bite out of one in the 80’s, landed on something gross and was done with the McRib forever. DH will probably eat a couple.

I don't think that is a reasonable comparison (my mom grew up on a farm during the depression too). Because they had to eat disgusting food we should go pay money to a fast food place to eat their disgusting food? We actually have a choice to eat better.

My point is, while you may not like the McRib, it is actually made from the usual cuts of pork. No snout, lips or eyeballs.

The name of the product implies they are ribs without the bones. If they smoosh some other pork product together to look like a rib still isn't anything I would buy.

Yeah, if this is the last time the McRib is on a final tour, I’ll never speak of soccer again on the Disboards. Why can’t they just say for limited time only?
