The Mayor of Main Street

A few years ago I saw the Mayor of Main Street. A few days later I saw The Sherrif of Frointerland and they must "twins" for they looked like the same man. In fact when I went and got my photo with the sherrif, he said, have you met my brother the Mayor of Main Street? He loves red heads. Now when I saw the Mayor he said to me, I used to date a girl with red hair.

My last trip I never once saw the Mayor or the Sherriff. My Question really is does every "land" have a mayor or sherrif? Are they more than one CM that are special friends with them? Do they have elections?

Love his jokes too.
I love it when the Main Street characters call out to each other from across the street.

I even got my picture taken with him in front of the Castle.

I love seeing the kids trying to figure him out and asking the parents who he is.

We saw the mayor on our 5/03 trip and had a picture taken with him. We were there again 12/2004 and saw the same mayor.

I believe there is a 'leader' of every area. Not sure what all of them are, though. The sheriff and mayor are two that I've seen before. I've also seen a character that appeared to be some kind of sergeant in Tomorrowland, but I wasn't sure what his official title was.

In front of H&V in MGM, I've seen the mayor of Hollywood.

The mayor and the sheriff are very good friends. When we met the mayor he was calling out to someone, "Good luck in the Beauty Pagent!" He is such a sweet man! Here is in December 2004.

We were there in Dec. '04 also, and saw the same Mayor. He was so sweet! When we told him it was dd's 5th birthday, he started shouting "Hear ye, hear ye! I proclaim today to be Kirstin's 5th birthday!" or something like that, then he said "Let's wish Kirstin a happy birthday everyone!" and EVERYONE on Main St. within the sound of his voice shouted "Happy birthday Kirstin!" then he started singing the birthday song! It was truly one of the most magical experiences we've ever had at WDW!

Same Mayor we saw in November. In all the times I've been to WDW, I never knew Mayor Weaver existed! His autograph is cute too - draws a picture of himself with his little hat on it.

I saw him in August last year but I was on the KTTK tour so I didn't get a chance to get a picture with him or of him!! Hopefully when I go in May I can see him and get a picture!
