Sushi is awesome, it's my favorite type of food. If you are not sure, I would say go to a place back home before going to eat it in Florida. The sushi in Japan at Epcot and the Cali Grill is pretty much the same at any Mikado, Akira or any other type of Hibachi/Sushi place. Deference between Japan and Cali Grill is that in Japan they put on a show at your table if you wish to also have Hibachi. You have to just experiment and find what kinds you like. Most people only like the California roll, but to me I like it but it's also bland to me. My favorite is a spicy tuna roll, which is raw tuna with a hot sauce mixed in it. Dragon rolls are really good because it has a slice of avacado and granny smith apple on top with eel in the middle. Not many people are willing to try eel but trust me its good. I'm always adventurous when it comes to food because if I'm on vacation, I don't want to order something I can get at home. I rarely eat chicken or steak cause I can just go to Applebee's or something like here at home. I mostly go with fish or something that is different than the norm for me. Hope this helps, just experiment because there is so much good food out there in the world.

I have found I love the spicy flavors the best. We have a local one that has a (small) drop of Sriracha sauce (I think), and, man, is it hot! But, I love the flavor. We'll have to look them over and decide. Thanks for the info, Tim!

I have really enjoyed your TR so far, Lynn. It was interesting to see your experience as we were there at the same time. In fact, we saw you twice but didn't get close enough to say hi in person. The reason why I came out of lurkdom is that we found ourselves in your pictures today. We were in the picture of the waiting area to see the fairies, right at the front of the line. We were the first family to see the fairies that day so I got to "fly in" with Rosetta. I am the one with the hat with the Minnie polka dot band, and DH is the one with the Mickey safari style hat. Maybe we will have a chance to actually say hi in person some day (we are thinking about a January trip too, but probably later in the month).

Keep up the good work with your TR. If I get inspired to write one in the future, I hope it will be as good as yours.

Hey! It took me some time, but I am finally caught up. We got back from Kidani Friday night. Your dinner at Cali Grill convinced me to talk to my DH about going during our trip next year for Mardi Gras.

So next month would be 180 days to book my ADRs LOL!! I have to wait until October haha!

Anyway I have our places picked out already. They are subject to change, but right now this is what I have planned. Have to wait till hours come out to pick which day to eat at some places.

Well guess what? We have decided to get the deluxe dining. Since we will only be paying for food this trip, we decided to go for it.

Tim and I talked about renting a car, and decided not to go with it. We went through the pros and cons. Yeah it would be great to go whenever we want, but Tim says if he's on vacation he doesn't feel like driving.

It will still be cheaper to take a cab if we have to, rather than rent a car for 10 days.

The bus service at SSR is fine, we have never had a problem. In october it was so easy to walk to DTD and hop on a resort bus if we had to. I also think the SSR buses are peaceful. I love the music they play on the buses. The buses are never really crowded there, at least they weren't in Oct. I don't think it will be that bad in Jan.

The day of the race I have been told there is plenty of time transportation so it shouldn't be a problem.

The throw up incident was really the only bad bus incident lol. That was what made the line insane, and we got to the bus stop too late. Normally when we leave parks at closing, we get to the first bus that is already there waiting for you.

I think we would miss using the buses and the monorails. I know it sounds crazy but it is what it is lol.

I don't think the buses will be that bad in January. Eventually I would like to rent a car on one of our trips, but I think we will be ok without on this one.

Oh and because Tim is a freak when it comes to car, he refused to rent a stupid car. He wanted to rent like some sports car. Yeah ok Tim lol.


ANYWAY lol.. Om with the ADRS. Now with deluxe dining, you will get 3 meals a day. You can use TS and CS with those 3 credits. You also get 2 snacks a day, and refillable mugs.

We will be staying 9 nights, so we will have 27 credits each. If we go to all the places I have planned, we will be using 21 TS credits, and 6 CS credits.

Places for breakfast!

Crystal Palace 1 TS- I love breakfast there. I want to go early before the park opens

1900 Park Fare 1 TS- OK so you can eat with Alice, Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins. How cute is that!! Can't wait to try it, it will be our first time

Kona Cafe 1 TS- We have never had breakfast here. I know what I'm going to get though lol!

I didn't pick to many breakfast places because Tim is not a big breakfast eater. I am though. So I think 3 is fair.

We have to do deluxe. Tim always ends up getting an appetizer, and I want to try a couple of 2 TS places. I know it sounds lame, but I just like knowing that it is already pre paid.

So if you would like to share some of your experiences at these places, I would love to hear. Also if you have done deluxe please share your experiences.

Have you ever thought of driving down to FL? We've done that the past couple of times and yes, it's a long drive, but it's not bad at all (as long as your car is reliable and you break up the drive). Plus, it's less expensive than flying (in our case anyway...Newark Airport ) And that way we have the car whenever we need it.

Yak & Yeti is great! I'm sure you'll love it.

After I met the fairies, I just started wandering around. When I made it to the castle, I was just in time for the show to start. When I saw a CM I asked if Alice still comes out. I had not seen her out and about yet. She told me she is at the teacups every half hour. So I watched the show, then headed over to the teacups.

Here are some pics from the show. Standing in that sun was brutal. I had sweat dripping down my back. It was so bad lol.

When I made my way to the tea cups, I noticed Alice was out YAY! And so was "Oh Mr. Rabbit..PLEASE!" HAHA you know you hear that every time you see The White Rabbit LOL. And if not, now you will. HAHA!

For some reason they did not have a CM taking pictures, so I asked the people behind me if they would do it. She did a good job!

See look at my shirt, it was so hot. YUCK.

Soo you want to know where I went next??? It's A Small World LOL!!!! I had to go, I had not been on it in forever lol. No way was I getting Tim on it so I had to go on while I was by myself.

When I was walking there, I was so happy to see the smiley face in the sky. I get all warm and fuzzy inside when I see that. I didn't get a picture of the Jesus Loves You part. I love seeing it though.

They were fixing up the entrance of IASW, so they had a different entrance.

There was no line lol

Here are some pics, they didn't turn out that great. The whole time I was on, I was texting my mom, Tim, Aunt, and sister in law the song LOL!! They were so mad at me LOL. Tim was finally up and ready. He was on his way to come meet me.

You know the Hawaiian girls are too cute. I love how they shake their hips lol.

Lynn! You will have to follow my TR as I have updated to DxDP for my trip in September. One difference is we will be doing a TON of breakfasts. My son is an early bird and well...we'll be up anyways, so why not? I bolded the restaurants I'll be going to that you have on here. We don't have too many in common, but I'll let you know about the amounts of food and everything.
