The May 2007 Rate/Code Watch

Rack rate for PoR - 165
Got AAA discount - 157
Got AP rate - 129

Ap cost doesnt factor in for us as we are locals :hippie: Its just straight up saving money :)

Made a call for our one night before our stay at BC villas. DD has always wanted to stay at BW (I don't get it, thay clown creeps me out!). My first call the woman would even attempt to look up an AP, she was sure they have not been extended yet. Didn't feel like battling so I hung up and called back. Got a wonderful CM named Calhoun and I got my 1 night standard BW for $290.25. So now DD will get her clown slide (ugh).

We had a POP century reservation from april 24 to may 2 for a total of 898.52. Of course no AP discount for out time period and did not want to switch to ALL-Star.
I was quoted $1168.98 for coronado Springs for the same time with AP and I was quoted $1476.00 for Animal Kingdom with AP so I splurged and with Animal Kingdom.
it is $164.00 per night base plus tax.
Is this a good deal?
I hope this helps others.

WooHoo!!!
Just got Wilderness Lodge Courtyard for $219.00 a night. That is $71.00 cheaper than our original woods view!!:goodvibes
We have 3 adults and 1 infant in our room and our original room only total for woods view was 2126.28.(we are staying 6 nights) Now the total for courtyard with AP is 1647.00!!! A savings of 479.28!!!:cool1:
We are there May 13-19!!!

I just called to modify ressie at Pop and was told no ap discount for any value resorts the dates I had, so I booked at POR Riverside for $129.00 a night! Hooray! This is our 1st moderate experience!!

I called a little after 8 o'clock this morning and was able to get POP 5/5 - 5/11 for $74 (83.25 w/tax) per night. :woohoo:

Yes, I checked this weekend (Memorial Day weekend) on the AP website and no values are available, but moderates were. Keep in mind that as folks upgrade, it may free up some value resorts.

Just got AKL booked for May 4-7, standard at $164/night.
When I called about 30 minutes ago they had all levels still available for those dates. I must have been his first call about AP rates for May though, bc he was surprised. Very, very helpful and friendly though.:)

Just called got the same rate for the exact same days LOL.

just booked Pop Century for $74 (($83.25) / night for 6 nights in May.
woo hoo :cool1:

We've never stayed at a value but I'm looking forward to it.

Did anyone get the AP rates for memorial day weekend and if so, what were they? I'm booked at POP and just curious to see how much the mods are going for.

Pop's AP rates must be by certain dates. I tried first thing this morning and they said they didnt' have anything for our dates 4/28-5/2. I tried again just now, and they still say no rooms available for those dates at Pop.

Oh well, I took Sports at the $74 plus tax per night, and I'm going to have fun no matter where I stay! :cheer2:

Did anyone else find that Moderate hotels are only offering AP discounts for rooms with King Size Beds? I am staying at Coronado Springs Resort May 1-May 26. I still saved $200 with the upgrade, but wanted to see what other people got on Mods.

I called a little after 8 o'clock this morning and was able to get POP 5/5 - 5/11 for $74 (83.25 w/tax) per night. :woohoo:
I too got Pop 5/6 to 5/11 for $74 + tax for 2 rooms.:dumbo:

I was just able to get the AP discount for all 14 nights of our stay at Pop: May 3rd-17th. :cool1:

BUT . . .

I was enticed to switch to AKL pool view with the AP discount instead!!!!

(I can justify this. Really. See, originally, we were booked at Caribbean Beach. Then, to save a bit of money, we switched to Pop. Then, we were going to save even more money by getting the AP discount at Pop - but, now, we're at AKL in a pool view for 14 nights for only $300 more than our original CBR reservation! That sounds good, right?????? It's perfect DIS logic!)

:thumbsup2 Love your logic. I usually do that but I'm traveling with a friend who's paying for 1 1/2 rooms so I don't think I could convince her. I'm actually excited about going back to Pop!

Hooray for all those getting their AP discounts today. :cheer2:

Here's a little pixie dust for all those who didn't. :wizard:

Keep trying! In years past, I didn't get my first choice until a little later. It seems things shuffle around as people upgrade to different resorts so be sure to try back every day.

I got AKL - Pool View - May 7-11 for $201.00 @ nite. I really wanted standard view, but was told they weren't available. Do you think it would do any good to try again to see if a different cm might 'magically' find a standard view room. :)

Can someone help a newbie out?

In order to get the AP rate, do you already have to be an AP holder? If not, do you just have to show proof on check-in? Does only one person in the party need the AP?

Thanks!

You do need an AP to book online, but you don't need one if you call. All you have to do is have one person in your party (an adult) show the AP upon checking in to get the discount.
