Hi an AP is an Annual Pass. It is good for admission to all theme parks for one year. It's a great deal if you plan on going twice or are staying for a long time. You can also get an AP that will offere unlimited admission to water parks, disney quest, Pleasure Island, etc. AP holders also get discounts on Disney hotels I have an AP and I loveee it!
Are you talking about an AP credit? I booked in November for my May vaca and just paid the first night. When the AP code comes out you can call and they can apply the discount to your reservation. That would probably be the best idea because I've read on the DIS boards that a lot of hotels are all booked up for the spring. I'm pretty sure other codes and discounts work the same.
Just booked today with the package code from Mousesavers, free hopping and water parks, total of $1623 for 3 nights with tickets. Boy, the deluxe rates have skyrocketed! My cost per night at WL for those three days (May 19-22) was over $300 a night, close to what I paid for GF spring break two years ago with an AP!
I figure if AP codes come out, I'll get an AP and THEN convince DW that we have to go back in December so that we can use our 40% off code, get a cheap hotel room and then be able to experience Discount Disney
I'm waiting, too. We are going over for a Devil Rays/Rangers regular season game at the WWOS (if we get tickets) and decided to spend a couple days at a resort as well. Come on AP rates!
You can purchase one Adult Annual Pass and qualify for discounts on rooms at certain times of the year. We never know when the AP code will be announced. We just wait.... Once it is announced, the holder of the pass can bookup to 3 rooms, if need be. I have done this in the past when my family was coming with us. I did have to show the AP at check in. The name on the AP has to be part of the group checking in.
