I just talked to an operator about an hour ago and she said that if there are any discounts or special codes, look for something in March. Now mind you, she was probably referring to any emails or mailers.

I have never been to WDW this time of year - how busy is it? Weather? Temp.?

We can't decide where to stay. I had my heart set on the Poly.. mainly for the monorail transportation, restaurants, and fireworks viewing. But wow.. is it $$ (But DH could be talked into it. It seems on here that many people are staying at the POFQ. My kids are 5/8 . Can you get a fridge at the POFQ? We're staying for 7 nights.. might consider a split stay? I think I read somewhere that Disney will move your bags for you? AAAHHH!!! I just want it booked.

(I also thought maybe we could switch to a better hotel if a code came out, but it seems the chances for that are small? Also, if I book a package that won't help me if a room only code comes out right?) How does anyone weed through all this stuff?

You might want to look into Coronado Springs Resort as well! It's moderately priced. We stayed there last year and your kids would love it! They have boats and bikes to rent, a great themed pool, and fun food court that will offer options for adults and kids

We're currently planning to stay at a mod resort next May, but I really want to stay at AKL. I'm thinking about getting an AP for the discount, but I don't want to get the AP until I'm sure I can get $80-100 off the deluxe room rate.

So here are my questions: should I just go ahead and reserve the room at AKL and wait to buy the AP until the discounts come out? And if I decide to do that, will I be able to apply the discount to the pre-existing reservation?

I think just knowing how y'all handle or have handled these things in the past will help me sort this stuff out!

I would make your ressies now for AKL. YOu can always apply the discount once it becomes available. I'm pretty sure you can wait to buy the AP until that point as well. They didn't ask me for proof of AP over the phone when booking the resort discount last year. They do ask to see your AP at the desk for check in at the resort I believe. Good luck! I'm also waiting for AP discounts! I can't wait!

You know, I'm really getting ticked off with you "May" people. May is our favourite time to go to the World. We have never had a problem booking in the past, we have never had a problem with ride lines, or dining reservations.

This year we have been trying to book since November 06, for May 07. CSR all booked up, so we thought we'd try a split stay, value first week, deluxe (for the first time) second week. Contemporary is my dream resort, but no tower rooms available. I'm getting frustrated, we have booked a garden view room, but would one of you please cancel your tower reservation, so I can have it. I know I sound obsessed, and I am. When did May get so popular.

Really, I wish you all a wonderful holiday, but I wish for me, a tower room at the contemporary
