Heres to hoping that tomorrow be the day that some new codes come out!

bdtracey said:Heck, I'm just looking forward to seeing the "official" hours and then start planning my itinerary. I'm a Tour Guide Mike subscriber so I'm curious to see how his suggestions look. I've set up an Excel sheet with TGM's suggestions, the UoG suggestions and everything...the only problem is that TGM's suggestions are based off of LAST May's data. Once the hours come out I'll be ready to rock!!!! My trip is still 6 months away but I just love the planning. We already know what we're doing on our arrival day! We're getting in around 3:30, probably at the hotel around dinner time. We're planning on briefly checking out the resort, POFQ, then heading over to Poly to grab some eats at Kona Cafe, chilling, and watching Wishes from the dock. That's the plan but I'm sure it'll change a dozen more times! BTW
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE

bdtracey said:MannyEdge: Good to hear about your trip! I'm super pumped to be going again! I think POFQ will be great too! Our last trip we were at ASSp and it was alright but it almost felt a little bit too budget. I don't want to sound snotty or anything but I kind of felt bad for some of the people there, I swear that some people took out a second mortgage to fund the trip.
henry_lutz: Mike's guide is pretty good, he asks that we don't give away what we get from his site but there are little tips and tricks how to "beat the system" as I like to put it. It has day by day suggestions on which parks to go to. It doesn't only say the park name, like the UoG does, but it gives an explanation why it is green, yellow, or red. He also has some sample touring plans in there so that you can beat the crowds. I don't entirely agree with the guides because I've used the UoG touring plans and they seem to be a bit easier to use. I can't really go into details but touringplans[DOT]comhas some sample touring plans for free that you can check out. If you want actual ones from them you'll have to subscribe there too.
What else does Mike do...oh he's full of dining reviews, tips & tricks. He pretty much has everything that I'm looking for. His site can be used for first time trips all the way up to "know-it-like-the-back-of-my-hand" trips. His site is a bit confusing at the start but after you've played with it for a little while its not too bad, just make sure you read his overview first!!!
Also, you can Google for a code that'll get you $3 off his price, that's what I did. If you can't find it just let me know because I can 'refer' you and you'll get $3 off. I just seached for "Tour Guide Mike code" and it was simple. If you don't think you need all of those tips maybe check out touringplans[DOT]com; I find that they're a big help too.
Mike should have his May 2007 "Express Planner" set up within the next week or so which will give all of his suggestions. I have a preliminary itinerary (yes, I'm an engineer) set up using the May 2006 suggestions but they don't work too well because this year there are no grad weekends at the start of May like there were last year. I then compared those against the UoG's suggestions for best and worst parks to make my decision.
Sorry (again) for goingI think TGM is worth the money, I prefer reading a book as opposed to staring at a computer screen but I can do TGM at work over my lunch hour just as easily as a book. IMHO, TGM and the UoG compliment each other nicely.
Hope this helped....now I'm going to see if the new park hours are up!!!!!

Congrats on Cirque tixGOODoldPAL said:Well we are seriously rethinking the DDP.
I just completed a spreadsheet of sorts and we won't be saving any money compared to OOP. I know it saved many others lots of $$ but for our touring style and food choices it just has us eating more food than we would normally buy.![]()
I will plug in some different choices to see if the $$ comes out the same under various circumstances before we make a final decision.
Any one else actually go thru menus, write down prices of likely items your family will order, and compare DDP and OOP?
Got HoopDeeDoo ADR moved to night we wanted (never hurts to ask again!) and all of the others we wanted - of course now I'm thinking of changing a few already. LOL![]()
Oh and hubby DID spring for those Cirque tickets!! This will be a surprise for our DD's birthday when we get to WDW.![]()
Am considering buying RideMax once we have our touring plan pretty set.
How is everyone else doing with their plans? Remember, that's 1/2 the fun!![]()
