The May 2007 Rate/Code Watch

I just booked 7 nights at POFQ for may 22- may 29 Dining & Hopper 3 adults 1 child $4163.00 including airfare from ROC with my AAA TA. I booked airfare anticipating rate hike. what do you all think? $207.00 each for air. I thought child would be less but no dice.

We just rescheduled a free dining trip for hopefully 5/23-6/3. The problem? There's 6 of us! We're having a hard time finding any affordable options.

Options so far:

1- Wilderness Cabin

2- ASMu Family Suite

3- 2 value rooms (ASMo or POP)

Opinions? :sad2: Cabin gives most space, but it's so S P R E A D out!! And one of our party is permanently disabled (back issues). All stars make me nervous due to noise, transportation and dining issues. Which would you go for? Obviously, budget is an issue.

Thanks all!

What do you mean "free" dining? I haven't heard anything about free dining in May. Is this poster just confused? I sure am.:confused3

I *think* the poster is saying they had to cancel a free dining trip but are hopefully rescheduling for May (without free dining). :confused3

We are planning on another 10 days at POFQ May 19 through May 28th! Yay!

I see you stayed at POFQ in may before with young children I have a 4 year old do you think he will enjoy the resort I know we did but that was on our honeymoon. We will be there at the same time as you are have you requested a specific building? I was wondering which building is best for little guys. CSR talked me out of spending extra for water view since we will "rarely have the curtains open and stay in room very little" I tend to agree with him. Let me know what you all think about that statement.

We were in room 2125 (I think) (Definitely building 2 on the ground floor) and LOVED it. It was so close to everything. The pool and playground was prcatically a few steps away outside of our door. The boat to dtd and riverside were just a 2 minute walk down the "street" and the food court was not even 2 minutes away. My boys LOVED the boatride and the hotel. I think they enjoyed the boat as much as the actual parks, LOL. That was the first thing they asked when we decided we were going back to Disney. It was quaint and beautiful for us and fun for the kids. Also the regular pool and kiddie pool are fun and adorable! :) :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

edited to add: we decided not to get a water view since all of the views there are nice. So we saved some there. The courtyards are gorgeous so no matter where you are its so pretty.

Just booked 2 standard rooms at POP, 5 adults, 8 day base tickets at AAA for $2746. Our dates are April 26 - May 4.

Exactly...we were scheduled to go 9/30-10/9 with the free dining package. Unfortunately, finances aren't allowing that possibility. Now, we're considering 5/23 - 6/3 (tax refunds are a great blessing!) but there won't be any free dining on this trip. Bummer! It would so make my day if they would offer the free upgrade of hopping and water parks like they did this year. We'll see!! :thumbsup2

Booked my trip tonight!!!! I am so excited! And freaked out by the total now that I've booked LOL We booked 10 nights, 10 day hoppers, and the dining plan for $4251 AAA @ POR May 23-June 2.
--------------------------------
We'll be there with you. We're coming off the Disney cruise and we'll be at POR May 31-June 3.

We're all set for our first trip to Disney in May 2007! 7 of us will be staying at ASMo May 5th-11th with dining and park hopper.

Cool, where are you staying? We arrive on the 14th.
About the codes, if one does come out you can just call up disney and have them adjust your ressie. I think they just cancel your one reservation and then book the new one with the code.

Wow! I can't believe that some of you have already booked rooms! Last year I booked mine around January, but seeing so many people already making reservations...I'll prob book soon! Can't wait to see what kind of discounts are offered for Annual Passholders! I'm planning on a 10 night 11 day vaca for me and my DBF from May 17-27 at Coronado Springs Resort!
