The Mara at AKL trade the Drink for a Snack

Hello,
We are staying at AKL in May and are on the Quick Service Dining Plan. I read that you can trade the drink ( because we have the Mug) for a Snack Item.

is this possible at the mara at the AKL? And if yes do all snacks count for that?

When we stayed there 2 years ago they let us. I’m hoping this will be the same for our upcoming trip.

at the food courts we also see folks getting an alcoholic beverage for later vs a snack

We just stayed there and yes, you can trade the drink for a snack. We did that several times. I never ordered an alcoholic beverage, but I bet you could. Last year we were able to do that at OKW and bring the beverage back to the room to enjoy in the evening.
